Once she has been there a few days and got to know people and find her feet she will have a great time. Mine was really down because her room was awful and only a couple of people had arrived in the shared house but after a few days she is much happier.

Thinks she has freshers flu so fingers crossed she gets over the worst of it before lectures start.

Treated myself to a hooded towelling robe in the M and S sale and went to catalogue sale this morning and got four jumpers and pair of trousers for winter for grand total of £6.

Managed to get dd's favourite soft drink to take to her tonight in hospital and meal is in oven so we can eat before we leave.

Chuckled at the thought of grandson's face when asking you to read the book.

Hugs to all who could do with one.

    Morning all

Sistercas - hope DD has a fab time at uni, I echo JackieO about trying to keep the tears in til you've gone! When I went to do Camp America my mum came to London with me and saw me off on the train to Heathrow and promptly started sobbing on the platform as my train pulled off, which made me feel very guilty! This is despite the fact that I was 26 and had lived away from home twice before that! :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl: oh bless her

back home now , i was fine while i was there , but now i feel like an arm is missing :( DD2 feels the same , it was going into her room to tidy up the stuff she left that upset me, she however seems to be settling in , her flat is having a stay in movie night which she is looking forward to , thank good ness for text and facebook ;)

Sistercas, I know exactly how your feeling. If you go back to the 9th of this month (I think):o you will see that DS1 left for uni. I also felt totally like part of me was missing , I then got an early morning call from him telling me he had been out with some new people and was just ringing to let me know he had got back safely. Believe it or not that really settled me in that even though he was starting on the new chapter in his life he was still remembering his mum at home who would be worrying about him IYKWIM.

Thank you for all the birthday greetings for ds3.
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)
  • MIA action yesterday because my blooming hands are really giving me gip, it is really painful to type when they are like that, the weather must be on the change :(
Everyone has complained of the cold tonight only to be told to put a cardi on or get an early night under the duvet, I really don't want to put the heating on yet, it is too expensive and I want to get a few squid behind us so I know that we will be able to afford it as soon as the really cold weather hits :( I am saving hard to replace the gas boiler with a wood burning stove and back boiler, so all I have is the electric bill to find (I wish I could afford to go completely off grid including having my own borehole) but alas I didn't win the lottery again tonight only one number oh well :p

Managed to get three loads of washing completely dry on the line and one load didn't quite dry so it is on the airer in the bathroom, It will be dry by morning and then I will ask DD do the ironing for me ;)

Foreversaving  I hope DH is ok x
    Sistercass ((((hugs))))

    Evening All

I found this answer if it makes any sense to anyone:

Big ((hugs)) to all the poorlies.

Should be at a social, but Skye not settling, so here in the 'van with her. Her tummy is out of sorts, not usure whether it is due to the Rabies jab she has on Monday or on Wednesday when we were walking her in the countryside, she picked up and ate, too quick for me to stop her, what I thought was Dog Poo, she has never done this before, nor tried since.

But she is now asleep in my arms so typing one handed.

    Take care All DG
Hopefully she sleeps tonight as I was up every 2 hours with her last night.
