Well it's not yet 11am and I've done 4 loads of washing which is now drying out in the breezy sunshine, house is clean and hoovered, and I've been for a jog!Phew. Just need to make the bed and wash the dishes after I eat some breakfast and I'm done. Then I'm off visiting family and doing other bits n bobs

Morning all, bright and sunny here but a bit nippy. WM is on and will put that out before going shopping. Have to a quick tidy then hopefully this afternoon do some knitting. Hugs to all in need esp Tiglath,Hilstep and Taplady and Taplord glad your DH is ok FS Welcome back to Daisiegg was only thinking about you the other day, I don't have any marking but have to planning at some point in the weekend, love school but hate the paperwork!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to your DS uolypool and good luck to your DD sistercas. Have a good day all:)
Aww thank you
Now that I'm part time (yay!) and also in my third year at this school my planning seems to take no time at all but with two large GCSE classes the marking keeps piling up...annoying cos I enjoy planning and would much rather do that!0 -
DD all delivered to work, and got back home to find DGS Danny on the doorstep waiting to tell me all about his week.He loved the day at Silverstone that I had got him ages ago for his birthday, and showed me some photos .
I made him a bacon butty, which he loves as I crisp up the bacon (his Mum doesn't like crispy bacon so never cooks it enough for him)and he asked if I could do him a favour.I said 'yes what's the problem' .'No problem' says Dan 'but I have to read three books over the weekend (he is researcher on the Alan Titmarsh Show) and I just haven't the time to read the other book'
'Ok' says I 'what's the book ?'
'Its errr...called Jane Eyre Laid Bare' says my lovely grandson.'it's err... a bit errr... raunchy Gran'
Apparently they are doing a piece on 'mummy !!!!!!' whatever that's supposed to be after all the fuss over '50 Shades of Grey'and he has to research these books
Well my DD read one and yawned her way through the last few chapters of one, and he has read one and I have the other one to read.Basically 'mummyporn is the latest genre to hit the book shops so Titmarsh is going to do a bit on his show about it.My grandson bless him was a bit red-faced about it all, but I said 'no worries I'll read the book and give you a quick heads up on it' iyswim
So this afternoon after DD has been and gone I shall be wading myway through this book:) I'll let you all know what I think of it Danny meanwhile has gone off to watch his beloved West Ham play at Upton Park.
Last week he researched a piece about Scotch Whisky and was given a big bottle of the stuff, hopefully he won't be given a saucy lady to bring home:)
laters folks

Fs glad your hubby is ok
Ss hope today goes well its so hard when they leave, we only have one at home and he is often out, must admit though we are beginning to enjoy lots more time together.
Just received my delivery from everything for a fiver so going to have a trying on session in a sec.
Had a really buys morning, house cleaned and bathrooms swiped, have done two washes and posted my eBay parcels.
I'm taking the rest of the day off, mum and dad arrive shortly and so going to sit and have a natter, no cooking as takeaway for tea and we are going to watch a movie later. I don't get them to myself very often with such a big family and 3 brothers so will enjoy their visit.
Probably won't get back until tomorrow afternoon so have a good weekend all j xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Afternoon all
Lovely sunny day today so a load of washing out and just pegged out the shower curtains. Also a nice sit in the sun earlier with my cuppa. I am at home pottering with housework as OH has gone off to exhibit the club model railway. He may even go tomorrow.....eek!
So I have vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom, and my lunch of soup is nearly ready to be blended. Yum I love carrot and bean and had some bendy carrots to use up.
Tappers hope you and Taplord feel better soon.
Hugs and kind words to all.
Oh and by the way what is C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z on peoples' siggies?
Have a good day.

....Ordered a new 16.5 tog duvet last night, so hopefully that will be here early next week, have woken up cold a couple of nights.....
RR, hope you don't wake up in hot sweats - 16.5 is quite warm! We have a 4-season "marshmallow" duvet that is 14 tog - 9.5 for autum / spring, 4.5 for summer (that hasn't been out this year:rotfl:) which joins to make a lovely puffy marshmallowy 14 tog for winter.......'Its errr...called Jane Eyre Laid Bare' says my lovely grandson.'it's err... a bit errr... raunchy Gran'........My grandson bless him was a bit red-faced about it all......
:rotfl: :rotfl: at Danny being allto his Gran about mummyporn! I bet it isn't quite the quality of literature that you usually read
:rotfl:
Well, DH is having a caveman session - we've ordered a new bigger freezer and larder fridge to replace the 19 y.o. f/f that's really too small since I got my allotment, and he's been fettling them to go into the outhouse. Cue lots of cardboard & polystyrene in the back yard and several calls of "can you come & help, love?"!!
Good luck to all those with uni-bound kids - I vividly remember taking both my boys - I blubbed when we left DS1 at his halls, with "Freshers week spends" in his hand, and did the same with DS2, who was also given cash by DH with instructions to "make sure it's all spent on beer by the end of Fresher Week"The only thing I would add is don't find another use for their room just yet. DS2 came back home after graduation (2 weeks after DH & I got married) to live with us for 12 months while he did his Masters - it worked out well as he is good company and took his fair share of chores, and we have now seen him complete his first year as a real employed grown-up

Just got back from shopping and think I'm off for a liedown now and maybe a read of my book xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
floss2 your right its nowhere near the sort of stuff I would normally read.Dd arrived bearing gifts as she had been to Costcos and bless her she brought me some chocolate croissants (some I have bunged into the freezer for later this week) some nice dove soap, some mushrooms already sliced and a huge 6lb block of minced beef that I portioned up for her and had a lb for my freezer which I have divided into two. Also an enourmous box of houshold wipes that were going begging as she had got two for the price of one so I had a box.We had a good natter and my DGD Holly was with her so she updated me on how she's getting on at Uni so a lovely afternoon was had by all I'm just about to make some dinner then probably whizz through this blessed book.Poor Dan he forgets at my age nothing phases me anymore, and after 22 years driving a taxi around London I am virtually unshockable
:)

I just asked that question too on that thread but dont understand what it means either?
Is it a club or secret society?I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
