? open 2nd Ebay account

I wanted 2 accounts simply to keep everything separate and to make my own accounting easier, running reports etc.
I have emailed to ask for my personal account to be down-graded so hopefully that will keep me out of trouble!

Yup,

If a sale is disputed though only the funds for that transaction (or equivalent) are held, you can still use the account meanwhile.

and if they are large transactions, it can make life difficult for a seller.

I've had one recently, a buyer bought something from me, used item, parts missing, well described listing. Buyer aksed for a return as he couldn't get parts. I said no, well within my rights.

Buyer took me through the mill with ebay, took weeks to sort out, and I still said no.

I won, as I should have, but as it was highish value, Paypal did hold the money, leaving me with zero cash flow. Indeed, if I had agreed all would have ok...for the buyer at least.

Anyway, enough said I think, may be enlightening to others too

Have you got a paypal access card? If you have - paypal forced personal account holders to upgrade to premier to get the card.

I have but it's linked to my business account...

Just had this email back from Paypal: 'I have reveiwed your account and can see it is a premier account. It isn't necessary to downgrade as we now only have two types of account. These are either premier or business'

So I have upgraded one Paypal account to a business account - I actually phoned Paypal in the end, they are very good on the phone, and they told me that this was the right thing to do!
