The OP has repeatedly talked on here about how well off she is, a tenner won't break the bank.0

If she did give baby #2 the extra £10, in the interests of maintaining equal treatment, then baby #1 should get an extra £10 too, be it as a surprise extra gift, a tenner shoved in its surprised mother's hand (picturing that makes me ), or spent on its next present. 0 ), or spent on its next present. 0

Not sure what that has to do with anything!!!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

            I would just give £15.
Before we moved i also asked for donations towards a playhouse, they cost around £300+ so i was happy with anything and made it clear to my family that any money towards it would be appriciated no matter how small. Then we moved and this was no longer and issue.
It's better to give her £15 explianing thats is what you gave to the other child and that go towards something she'll love than something she might not play with.DEC GC £463.67/£450
 EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000

Discussed this with OH last night and agreed to split the difference - so £20 in a card for niece no 2.
Both nieces live close to each other (we are a few hundred miles away) so niece 2 uses niece 1's slide etc. They had the same Xmas presents last year (ie an outfit, cuddly toy and keepsake each). Niece no 1's mum seemingly forgot about our LO though and just bought for niece 2. We don't do Xmas, but I don't see that as very fair, especially when we trekked all the way up there just before Xmas to take their presents! Luckily my LO was too young to notice.
I'll mention to mum 2 that I would not have paid full price for the slide and offer to tell her how. Habe spent months trying to dig them out if the huge debts they've run up because of her shopping habits!!!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
