Has this happened to anyone here?
I mean, how can someone go through nine months or pregnancy and not know?

A team of doctors has flown out to Afghanistan after a British servicewoman gave birth to a boy having not realised she was pregnant.
The unnamed woman, a Royal Artillery gunner, only learned she was about to give birth after having stomach pains.

A girl I worked with ( medium sort of body size shape- prob a 12) was 7 months before she knew she was pregnant. She had no symptoms and no bump.
She went for a blood test for an unrelated issue and the blood test nurse said ' nothing to worry about, and we will review after the birth'.
My mate nearly fell off her chair and the nurse had to clarify!!!
I confess that I grilled her too...as I thought surely you had to know. But she seriously didn't and neither did her friends and colleagues.0 -

You do get these movements in your stomach but i put it down to a bad pint.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I think a lot of women still have regular bleeding whilst pregnant and if you couple that with a baby in a funny position (movements inwards rather than outwards) and the lack of an expectation of pregnancy, I suspect it's possible not to know. I struggle to understand it but I have had a couple of sensible, well-educated, friends who know how their bodies' work who have gone through this so I know it's possible.0

I remember watching a programme about this a while ago and some midwives said they didn't believe that women didn't realise, more that they were in denial, other midwives believe its entirely possible, so even the professionals aren't sure!
I say if they really don't know and have no symptoms at all, they are very lucky! No sickness, no rounded tum, no constant weeing, no heartburn etc!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Happened to a friend of mine. Rarely had periods, was told by the doctor it was extremely unlikely she'd ever be able to conceive, found out at 8 months she had. She was a large lass anyway so whatever bump there was was well hidden, and the few other signs she put down to wind, erratic hormones etc, given that she thought she was infertile. She was over the moon when she found out.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

My youngest baby rarely moved. At the time everyone was issued with one of those fetal movement charts to monitor movements. After numerous visits to the hospital to have his heart monitored they told me there was nothing to worry about and not bother with the chart as it was obvious he was just a lazy baby.
Well i can say hand on heart that i only felt him move a handful of times and then they were soft gentle movements that were more like wind pains. I dont know when he moved into the birthing position (he must have moved in my sleep) cause i didnt feel a thing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I had a friend who didnt know she was pregnant until she was in labour!
She was a size 6, had regular periods throughout, only gained 5lbs (she thought it was because she was getting older).
She phoned the out of hours doctor one night, as she was in agony with her stomach, doctor came out and told her she was in labour. She didnt believe him and told him she wanted a 2nd opinion...30mins later, she gave birth to her perfectly healthy daughter
