Feel so much better now after watching the clip and barristers reply. I have read the threads on this and other forums and I get the message - IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE

    Many thanks everyone:T

Just to add to this, I'm on my second debt collection notice from them. Received it a month or two ago from where I overstayed by literally 5-10mins back in April. So far I have not (and will not) pay them.
Just ignore them and play snap with the letters to the ones on the sticky and then put them somewhere safe and out the way so you have a record.
    Happy Ignoring! :T

  • 5-10 minutes? That is shocking.

How about this? In 2009, I had a conversation with a council parking officer in Oxford at a car park where I had just returned in the last minute. Needing the toilet, I spoke to him first and pointed out my car and he told me it was no problem, because the officers there would not even touch a vehicle until 20 minutes has lapsed from the expiry time. That way there can be no ambiguity and it allows for the genuine running late or minor mishaps.

But who can expect more from a PPC?
  • I have received a parking fine from PPS for parking over two bays, however I parked In-between 2 cars and therefore couldn't see any white lines, the majority of the car park has unmarked bays and is rough muddy stoney ground.

After reading other posts I ignored the fine but have just received a 'notice of intended action' letter from a company called CCS Collect sent on behalf of PPS.
They are demanding payment (gone up from £100 to £130, no mention of why the increase) by next Tuesday otherwise they will either send a debt collector to my house or advise PPS to take further action.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am quite worried now.
    Thanks.

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
