I've also experienced the same thing, but made an account on the T-Mobile forums:

  • Thanks Dan. Definitely something suspicious going on. Like yourself, I have only noticed this in September.

I really think we are being incorrectly charged for call forwarding so I have just done a test by calling my mobile from a landline and getting diverted to voicemail. I'm waiting to see if this comes up as a 26p charge.

    Grrr

Just noticed this tweet to t-mobile

@TMobileUKhelp Why am I being charged 26p for each missed call? & the number listed on bill against that charge is not the no. that rang?

Hi Nigel, this is a billing issues at the moment we are aware of. Once resolved we will credit any money charged. Thanks ^Charlie

Its a known issue. the twitter team confirm it to be a few days back and promised plans were in place to refunds all of us effected.

"Hi Richard, were they to an 07953 no? If so we're aware of the issue and hope to resolve this soon. Any associated charges will be refunded."

If you joined your priceplan after 1st February 2012, then diverted calls will come out of your allowance. If you joined your priceplan before 31st January 2012 then diverted calls do not come out of your allowance.

If you are on a pre-Feb priceplan, call 150 to change plans.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
  • I have just rung T Mobile and they were very quick to try and refund the money without any explanation as to the nature of the problem.

After a little pushing, the operator confirmed that the problem is with T Mobile and that all errors will be refunded.:T
  • I have also had this problem. I rang T Mobile who said "We are aware of the problem and have had many calls about it" They said they would issue refund onto next months bill (not happy I have to pay for them in the first place however.)

I also asked them that if they are aware of the problem, why has an email not been sent to all customers notifying them of the issue? They couldnt give me an answer.

we had these incorrect charges on our October bill, when i rang T-mobile i was advised the credit would appear on our next bill (as others were told). November bill has just come, no credit. anyone else?

edit: have just spoken to T-mob again (business accounts), i was advised incorrectly last time as the credit actually appeared on the same bill as the incorrect charges. slightly confusing! person i spoke to today referred to notes from last call, said last operator is 'new' & that she'd advised me incorrectly, he did apologise. however, the total credit last bill wasn't quite right anyway, so he's put thru a further credit today.

    check your bills then! :)
