Fibre = Master Socket

Hi,
I know most houses have BT Master Sockets, from experience I know what they look like etc. However I currently rent a flat built in 2005 by Barratts and for the life of me I can't find a master socket.
We have three telephone ports located next to power connections and satellite tv connections in two of our rooms however I haven't seen a master socket. I have looked in our lobby and every room in the flat (landlord didn't know either).
I have ordered Fibre from my ISP and OpenReach will be coming to install it in a week or so and I know they replace your master socket but considering I can't find it I am unsure what to do...
Should I be worried or will openreach simply install one?

They would normally fit a VDSL interstitial plate to your existing master socket. If you don't have a split faceplate master socket then I guess the BTOR man will soon trace where your cable pair enters the property.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

You MIGHT find that your property has an external NTE5 - this is a grey box on an external wall as below:-

Not sure what BT do in a situation like this, presumably the internal sockets are in series so they would replace the first one AFTER the external NTE5???0 -
Thanks, I will double check the outside of the property tonight but I don't think we have an external one either.
I am worried that the block of flats have 1 central point for all 6 telephone lines and they get split up there before sent to the individual properties...especially because I think the cables come into the flat from under ground and not via telephone pole.
I think I am going to have to sniff around our entire property in cupboards etc..0 -
Chances are the master socket is located in a meter cupboard or a closet either in your flat or near the electric meters in the hallway,if it's the latter you would find a blanking plate where the normal socketed faceplate would be,from there you would then have only extension sockets in the apartment rooms.0

good point - i've checked our meter cupboard (no luck) but I haven't checked our fuse box cupboard so I will have a look in there tonight...0

My master socket (and only socket) is still one of these

unfortunately I can't find it anywhere...
I've looked in every room of the flat along with the meter cupboard downstairs. I have looked at the walls outside and can't see anything, all the cables must be under ground as I can't see that - I am unsure where the cabinet is as well..
It's a Barratts flat built circa 2005..0 -
