    No, it's a savings account. At least that's the section where it appears on their website.

    I suppose it's a little like the YBS Cash Transactor account (link card, DDs, SOs, etc, but no chequebook...although I'm not sure if YBS will write a counter/branch cheque.

    It is yes, plus faster payments and yes Yorkshire BS do issue Counter cheques.

    From their website:


    Q: How much can I withdraw by cheque?

    A: The amount you can withdraw by cheque at a branch is unlimited, subject to the terms and conditions of your account and there being sufficient available balance.

    The cheque withdrawal limit at an agency is £150K, this is subject to the approval of the controlling branch, the terms and conditions of the account and there being sufficient available balance.
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
