Getting a cheque

  • I'm sure that the Building society can issue a cheque for you for a fee of between £10-£30.
This option is much cheaper than postal orders.

Broughton man i have the call save money manager

I have many times asked for cheques over the years by going in to the branch and the staff have issued one for me

I suggest you go to your local branch and get one issued. The wont be any charge either.

What people may not realise is that they also used to do the "branch save money manager" which was the branch based version, but all intents and purposes was/is the same account but allegedly for use at branches, i also have this account.

Ps you will find that Counter staff are a lot more flexibile then the call centre staff regarding these sort of things
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

They can ONLY do this with a current account, but as someone else wrote go in person to the branch, so far i have only phoned them i will now go in person and await there reply, but to be honest i'm sick of banks etc it would be better to take my money out and keep it at home

  • So this is a bank account that does not provide either a cheque book or debit card??
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Maninthestreet this a building society account

The account (call save money manager , used to provide a debit card but was withdrawn for new applicants)

Its a money management account not a bank but does most things a bank account does and Coventry is a decent building society to deal with
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
