    Helloooooo

I thought I should make tonight's post about money, rather than eb*y and £2.99 wine;)

As today is the 15th (and approximately half-way through the month), I thought that I would do a grocery and petrol reckie - my two biggest areas of spend (well except the darned mortgage of course:p)

So.....grocery is sitting at £152.72 which I know will be  for a lot of people out there, however embarrassingly for me, this is quite good. Should I continue with the same level of spending for the next 2 weeks or so, I will still be £97.30 less than the previous month! However, this means that I have still spent £10.18 per day. Does anyone know how much would be a reasonable spend on average - 3 in household, 1 dog and this includes everything including wine at £13.47 - still 1 1/2 bottles left though.

Petrol is £70.11, again should I go through similar amount of fuel, I will be £49.87 less than previous month. Go, go little boy racer:D

My bank funds are tight, tight, tight although I already have £12.12 in TCB - all money saved in this account is MOP - no question:money:

PS. Still same number of watchers / bids on eb*y

Diary catch up time:D Thank you for reading anyone who's reading X

    Good evening MFW buddy!

Congrats on getting your items listed. eBay is totally addictive. I have the app on my iPhone and when selling stuff I check at least once per hour, it's far more addictive and fulfilling than Facebook.

It sounds like you have a lovely clean house yet again, mine is a tip as we were away this weekend and no time as of yet to clean. Althought the kitchen is spotless as this gets cleaned at least every day, apart from when I'm away on business when I guess it gets cleaned not long before I arrive home.

I'm very impressed with the food bill so far, much better than me. Fuel is totally impressive too.......

Natty, you're being a very good girl!

Heeeeyyy - just left your diary!

The house was clean yesterday, however as that was over 24 hours ago my untidy, drop everything as you go, children have had time to mess it up again....I will be having 'words' with both of them so best cover your ears approximately 9pm this evening!

I wish I had an iPhone, my 'smart' phone constantly loses internet connection and other phone is a work Blackberry and I'm not too sure how chuffed they would be if I downloaded an eb*y app;)

I am giving myself until 8.30pm, then away to check e/b for the kazillionth time:D

  • I still need to update my grocery challenge but did have £500 and now a lot less than £200 left, so better than ours too.

I think I savvy shop, smart price, aldi, etc but there is 5 of us (and 3 cats)... I know excuses excuses!!

Your spends sound the same as mine helen. I do always buy bargains, meal plan etc but theres just no way the spend is coming down anytime soon.

I'm lucky that my iPhone (and iPad) are "business devices"....... The downside of having an iPhone is that the apps make it even easier to spend money. John Lewis even have an app!

Ah but you both have larger family size than me, so I am effectively cheating;)

    It is SO chuffing COLD tonight. I think I will have to add 'electric blanket' to my must have items, being;

    Log Burner
iPad or apple mac (so I can type away a la Carrie Bradshaw)
    Aga (I know, I know!)
    Ugg slippers
My entire house resembling JL with touches of Dwell
And the new kid on the block.....an electric blanket!
