Here you are and useless me went off to attend to work and housework. Working from home is fab so long as you can multi task.... I quite often just take phone calls as I clean the house, put washing in, prep dinner etc.....0

Hi NP.
Hope you're over the shock of your unexpected visitor. You have to wonder how people can live with themselves feeling so entitled that they'd try to take what someone has worked so hard to obtain.
But still, at least you get to keep your messy utility room for now0 -
Well my working from home didn't quite go to plan in the sense of didn't get much work done - the workmen kept wanting to ask me things so was up and down stairs all day! I have managed to get caught up a bit since they left an hour or so ago so not all bad. I feel worn out though - more tiring than I thought
Been amused at Lulabelle trying to lead you astray..0 -
Makes me smile when people think that working from home is something naughty.....
I've been working from home exclusively for nearly 6 years now. I attend meetings and travel to visit clients/prospects etc but the rest of the time I'm in my little office here. I find that I can so much more done compared to when I used to work in an office full of people who wanted to chat all day long.0 -

I think that probably comes from the few who do use it as an excuse to skive as in "work from home"...
I used to have a manager who claimed to work at home - but they never took their laptop with them - it just stayed on their desk - so not really sure how they managed to get any work done!
I agree that it can be more productive though as there are def less interruptions from colleagues0 -
Working from home can be something naughty.
Like my colleague who makes a bit noise about how busy and productive she is, but 'works from home' without any network access and takes calls in her car when she's 'working' :rotfl:0 -
I'm a strong believer that you can work from anywhere really. Most of my time is spent replying to and sending emails and speaking to people on the phone - I can do this from an office, home, Starbucks or even the beach (which has been known)....
So long as objectives are met or exceeded then that's all that matters?
I do sometimes miss having people around to bounce ideas off, but then I meet up with my business partner usually once a week, so we have a catch up then..... Not in an office though, lol!
If anything I find it difficult to switch off working from home... If something needs attending to at 9pm and I see that it needs attending to, then I just get on and do it.0
