Right here we go people:

Samsung D500 on o2 200 = Free
Monthly line rental for the first 6 months = £180
Downgrade after 6 months to £16 a month = £96
TOTAL= £276
Cash back = £120
TOTAL= £156
Sell phone on ebay for £250 (225 profit)
TOTAL= -69
Buy through rpoints = £10
TOTAL= -£79

I know its a bit off a hassle but £80 profit and a free contract (or keep the samsung d500!) is well worth it!! Buying with Phones4u is also much more reliable than from e2save etc etc (you will get your money!)

    Done this a couple of times to get 'free' contracts or is also worth selling your upgrade which will pay for itself too. Sold one for over £350 and didn't cost me a penny!
    2p off is still 2p off!

    it can be a bit of pain to downgrade your tarriff, you all know what single point is like!

    but if that works then ya... y not.

    back in while ago when BTmobile just started, the tarriffs are so cheap and you can buy up to 6 handsets on one contract. as if i can remember i have made about £200 out of that deal! :P
  • Stupid, stupid question (hey I'm a newbie to mobiles) but when you rent a handset, does it become yours once the contract's up? Also how do you get cashback?

    This sounds like a really good deal. Can I get the 'phone and then start the contract in 3 months time? I'm thinking if I can unlock the d500 and use my current SIM in it then I won't have to wait until my current contract has been running for 12 months.

    simple answer - yes.

    the way contract works is that you have to sign up with them and agree to use their service during the term(usually 12 months), then they will give you the handset for lot cheaper than what its worth just to get you in. as you are agreed a certain amount of payment for certain amount of inclusive minutes/text. no matter if you are over the limit(subject to extra charge) or dunt use up all the inclusive minutes they will always make a big profit!

    after 12 months you have got the right to cancel the contract but most of them will require 30 days notice before cancelling! and after that the handset is yours to keep!

    I believe onestepphoneshop have better deal on N6630 with bluetooth headset and that is a better phone

    Nokia 6630 on Three 600 = Free
    Monthly line rental for the first 6 months = £180
    Downgrade after 6 months to £15 a month = £90
    TOTAL= £270
    Cash back = 9 month half price = £135
    TOTAL= £135
    Sell phone on ebay for £235
    Sell bluetooth on ebay for £20
    TOTAL= -£120
    My girlfriend refeer = £30
    TOTAL= -£150

    And u got contract sim card as well.

    and 6630 will be able to be unlock in this month

    Plus that is a really good smart phone with good camara, only drawback is screen isn;t as good as D500 but talking time is longer
    Nothing is nothing

    Ah nuts, they've changed the deal - only £50 cashback now.

    Anywhere else doing good D500 deals?

    Cheers,
    Adam
