  • As I said earlier in this thread, I was told that they couldn't give me an instant decision. The decision that came through the post today was... no!  :( I've been offered 6 months instead. A few days ago I got my Dad to sign up and he was accepted instantly. :) No good for me mind! So I guess it goes both ways. However, I have a perfect but not very long credit history. My Dad earns a similar wage to me. The only difference is that he is a homeowner and old, and I'm not. So a question for the serious stoozers (if you don't mind): Since I have way more real savings than they could every give me credit limit, and my credit history is perfect, if you were me would you appeal, and if so, how? Would you accept the 6-month offer or not?
I suppose you have to be absolutely perfect for this super deal :(  :'(.

    Edit: Spelt "Stoozers" wrong. oops

Are there any 0% balance transfer offers being offered bt C1 anymore? I have just checked out their 'all credit cards' section and seen that none of the cards listed have 0% BT as a feature. If so then this is a crap card for us stoozers!

Got a letter on Friday saying I had been accepted - I assume this must mean for the 18 month card, as that's what I applied for :-/ Could someone confirm this please?

They have been generous with their credit limit too, it's at least £12.1k as they are transferring my Egg balance. :)

I only expected to be offered the 6 month deal as I had convinced myself the offer was dependent on geographical area - After searching through my bin for the sky mag, my grand-dads bin for the Mail on Sunday and 10's of Rugby World & 442 mags in WHSmiths and other places - Only to find 6 month offers
Who ever said stoozing was easy money... :-/ :-/ :D
  • I've now also been refused a mint card. With no defaults on my credit history and only three credit cards to my name I must find out what is going on. :-/ Maybe it is just my short credit history. :(:( Any advice anyone?
  • Best advice from me tiger would be to close any accounts you can and hold off the applications for 2 months (that's roughlyu how long it takes for your credit file to trickle through and get updated, then apply again) - Likely to be new offers in New Year anyway so try in Jan '05.

Incidentally, I posted my form 2 weeks ago today - no news! Has anyone heard yes or no since applying on 26th Oct or later?

    :'(
  • posted my application form on Oct 31st and haven't heard anything yet..they've probably been inundated with applicants!
  • Posted mine off on 22nd October Little Miss Cheap :P Rang them up today as i had heard nothing.
Although no card yet received it was processed on 7th November and i have been given a £17k credit limit. The £11k balance transfer that i requested has been actioned. This is the highest credit limit that i have ever got.
The card will be sent out in the next 7 days.
I am presuming that i have got the 18month offer as this is the one that i applied for via the leaflet.
