yuo need to look at your car lease Terms and conditions, to see if it mentions anything about the following:
fines and penaltys ( a private parking charge is neither )
charges issued by statory authorities, again a private parking company is most definatly not a statory company.
also it may be worth starting a new thread along the lines of wages docked to pay PPC ticketsFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I've been stiffed by these cowboys as well. Unfortunately my company pays these fines up front and requests the money from us afterwards, making it impossible to take the approach you are taking! I don't live near Whitby, so I haven't been able to go back and review the signage, but I'd love to get a copy of the shots you took. I complained to the Co-op directly and they seemed to be interested at first. Then they requested that I produce a receipt for the day in question. I went away and found it (yay!) sent a copy to them, then was told they were not going to do anything about it anyway. I'm guessing the receipt thing was just a ruse to try and get rid of me if I had no proof of using the store.
I have a couple of links that I can't post on the forum, because I'm too new, that refer to the legality of these kinds of operations - I'm sure that you have read the other forum posts on this though!
Everyone I mention this too always says the same thing - how hypocritical the Co-op are to call themselves an ethical company, when they indulge in this kind of scam. I think there should be a campaign to shame the businesses that subcontract to these cowboys, rather than target these leeches directly. The real damage that can be done is to the reputations of businesses like the Co-op.
Does the fleet manager who pays these silly invoices have a company car. Perhaps they should be bombarded with bogus invoices for there own car. There are plenty of sample PPC letters online to copy?0 -

Amanda, you don't need pics, you simply need to ignore it (and the other letters which are sure to follow it).Je suis Charlie.0

Amanda it's not a fine, just a begging letter looking for mugs to pay their hard earned to a company that has no legal right to issue penalties or fines. So just ignore them and their powerless pathetic agents.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Relax, stop taking the bait. This is a scam. What makes you think a random private company can issue fines (they can't) and what makes you think that you need to prove anything? (you don't, stop replying pleeease!).
When dealing with "tickets" from private parking companies (PPCs) our advice for tickets received up until the end of September is to ignore them as long as it's your car (not a company, hire or lease car). The registered keeper will just receive the usual threatograms and can play a nice game of snap with them.
There is NO APPEAL worth attempting, for tickets issued before October. It's all a scam and you'd be wasting your time just to get more threatograms pretending you owe them some of your hard-earned.

Show your friends & family the links and make sure the registered keeper is ready to play their game of snap!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
