    Thunderbirds

Mad Dog 20/20 the prequel to alcopops

Then it was Hooch and Castaway and the alcopops were born

Ooooh brings back some memories - not all good though, if i remember rightly. My friends and i use to get together with a bottle of Thunderbird, a bottle of Barchester Wine, and last but by no means least a bottle of Buckie - a fortified wine made by the monks at Buckfast Abbey in Devon - we only use to have a shot glass of each :eek::eek:(maybe a little bit more) and we would head off into town for the night, we never spent money over the bar just use to get a glass of water - didn't need it as buzzing on what we had drank at home - them were the days :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I've heard that things are going belly up on the thread again, I'm 40 pages of 40 posts per page behind, I've had the day from hell, so don't think I'll bother catching up.
I hope no one is in need of support and I'm sorry if I've missed anything.

Just a bit of advice.... make a will if you have loved ones.
Tonight I feel as if I've lost my Grandad all over again :(
My mum discovered his house had been put up for sale by my Aunty - who has no right to do this - 3 siblings, all equal share, nothing discussed.

So for over four hours tonight I've been to my grandad's house, routing through rubbish bins finding memories that have been carelessly thrown away, fortunately these could be retrieved... sadly I can't say the same for the bags and bags that were taken to the tip. And it's driving me insane wondering what has been lost forever.

My mum and I went over there every few weeks to just feel close to my Grandad, it still smelt of him, everything was how he'd left it, we'd have dinner from the chippy my Grandad always took us to and then off we'd go. Now I know that couldn't have gone on forever, but now our chance to say our last goodbyes to the house, to my Grandad, to the familiar smell, to everything we'd loved, has been ripped from us.
Today the house may as well have been empty, it didn't feel like his, it didn't smell like him.

So, don't think that families will stick with each other and all get along nicely, yes, many will be fine, but others can be so effing hurtful.

Anyway, just as I was getting far to upset I saw the meteorite breaking up, truly amazing and was like a little phone call from heaven, sadly not long enough.

I'll stop rambling now, I do hope you are all ok :)

Hugs to you - can't pick your family!
Good job you can picks your friends :)

My Ds who is into I.T in a geeky way lol has said this will take a few months to rewrite, so I think we are safe for the time being. Lets hope we can get some small xmas gifts in the glitch.

I am not really upset they have capped the APG. Seems sensible to me although it wont stop people from doing several shops a day.

And he is right except that Sada? and W@lmart are rolling out a worldwide implementation of a system called SAP...won't bore you with what that means or entails but it's very tough to do well.

So it wont be a re-write, it will be a system redesign, then bear in mind they have to interface to all the product manufacturers that sell them stuff.....like rice pudding & dental .....and all the logistics companies and finally MoneSup@mkt put a screen scrapper app over the top of that to provide summary pricing data.......you don't need to be an I.T guy to see the monster of complexity that exists and that it will take ages and cost loads to do.

Your shops are safe but style of shopping will have to adjust

    Morning guys,
Just logged in to have a quick catchup and now wish I hadn't. :(

As someone who has seen this thread evolve , it saddens me to see the extreme attitude of a tiny minority.

Ironically though, it is this small minority which is giving all the users of this thread a bad name. One member is revelling in this attention though and is encouraging it.

I don't want to be tarred with the same brush so am making this my last post on this thread.

I hope it gets back to normal but am certain it won't.

Despite members new and old trying desperately to do so, it is now the personal platform of one user.

I wish everyone all the best.

this is not fanfrugaltastic news .

I'm sure you'll be welcomed back with open arms if you ever reconsider tormenting us with wonderful piccies of home baked delights and lists of endless recipies .

If i might say , please take a back seat for a few days and take a rest from this MSE malarkey and then if need be post a pancake picture or 3 ...i'm bloomin' hungry already .

i bought this and it definitely compared

edit...ive just looked and it is on MSM under Waitys

Interesting, when I search MSM for Buster Kitchen Sink Fresh Plughole Treatment (300g) the results I get are:

    Store_2.15px.png£2.98
    Store_4.15px.png£3.15
    Store_3.15px.pngN/A
    Store_7.15px.pngN/A
    Store_1.15px.pngN/A

A number of people have posted in the past that they found things on MSM with N/A whilst others have said that they can see it comparing. The results have changed when they logged in (I was logged in when I got the above details above btw).

  • Morning! Me again! I THINK I know what I'm doing now but could someone just check I've got it right? So... for instance, if I buy 2 tins of Ambrosia Original and then 6 boxes of Alpen Light, I should get back £4.70 which is the difference between Asda and Sainsburys on MSM?
Please tell me that's right!! :)
  • Where has all this talk of a cap come from? is it confirmed or is it just that one manager mentioned it to someone on here and it has got bigger - is it confirmed from Asda?

Managers have been saying all week that "it will end tomorrow" and it hasnt.

    just wondering
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
