  • I think this is mis-reported somehow!

To add insult to injury, shoppers admitted on MoneySavingExpert.com - where they had learned of the glitch - that they were returning their shopping for cash refunds, while keeping their vouchers to spend in store.

HUH....did someone actually post that they did this? I honestly don't ever remember reading it if they did
  • Awww, what a sweetie! Looks so chilled out asleep like that....wish I could do that lol

Well I've heard that things are going belly up on the thread again, I'm 40 pages of 40 posts per page behind, I've had the day from hell, so don't think I'll bother catching up.
I hope no one is in need of support and I'm sorry if I've missed anything.

Just a bit of advice.... make a will if you have loved ones.
Tonight I feel as if I've lost my Grandad all over again :(
My mum discovered his house had been put up for sale by my Aunty - who has no right to do this - 3 siblings, all equal share, nothing discussed.

So for over four hours tonight I've been to my grandad's house, routing through rubbish bins finding memories that have been carelessly thrown away, fortunately these could be retrieved... sadly I can't say the same for the bags and bags that were taken to the tip. And it's driving me insane wondering what has been lost forever.

My mum and I went over there every few weeks to just feel close to my Grandad, it still smelt of him, everything was how he'd left it, we'd have dinner from the chippy my Grandad always took us to and then off we'd go. Now I know that couldn't have gone on forever, but now our chance to say our last goodbyes to the house, to my Grandad, to the familiar smell, to everything we'd loved, has been ripped from us.
Today the house may as well have been empty, it didn't feel like his, it didn't smell like him.

So, don't think that families will stick with each other and all get along nicely, yes, many will be fine, but others can be so effing hurtful.

Anyway, just as I was getting far to upset I saw the meteorite breaking up, truly amazing and was like a little phone call from heaven, sadly not long enough.

I'll stop rambling now, I do hope you are all ok :)

Oh Magic - thinking of you and sending you hugs. ((hugs))
I know exactky how you feel, I kept my mums flat on for as long as I could just so that I could be close to her. I still cant bring myself to go through all the stuff that I carefully packed away. I have one of her hankies in a sealed bag in my bedside drawer it still smells of mum although it is beginning to fade a bit now.
After the funeral my sister who had not seen my mum for nearly 6 years came to her flat - she had never even been there before and she, her husband and my nephew went through the flat like a whirlwind. I felt like mum was being burgled and i was doing nothing about it., I felt sick. Mum never realy had much of any monetary value and to be honest any of those things would not remind me of mum. I have a whole box full of little scraps of paper that mum had written crossword clues on. Did you know that a group of ponies is called a string of ponies? Neither did I until I read mum's little notes. :rotfl: I even found "Ainsley Harriet TV chef" written on the back of her bank statement. no idea why :rotfl:

So sorry that you feel memories have been ripped away, but they are safe in your heart, where no one can get them and throw them away. A phone call from heaven sounds lovely - if only eh?

    :A
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

  • HUH....did someone actually post that they did this? I honestly don't ever remember reading it if they did

It was mentioned about taking things back and stuff and apgs but i don't think anyone actually said they did, it was one of them things where it was mentioned and then disappeared tbh cos doing that is just wrong and i don't think mse would like talk like that here.
Doing that it just taking a few steps to far.

And for those of you that are trying to cause trouble on the thread, I'm sorry but I have to say ... get a bloody life.

We have people here who've supported others through all sorts of goings on, offered friendly advice, been a shoulder to cry on, shared stories about their lives, we've laughed, we've cried, somewhere there's always someone with a friendly word or an elite hug...we also have some fantastic newbies who have joined in.

You are making some of us miss out supporting these people when they need it because some can't keep up with all the carp that is going on here or be bothered to wade through all the carp some are posting.
You are ruining everything this thread stood for - so to all you TWANTS can you kindly do one PLEASE!

    oh magic

I think many on here will sympathise or have been in your very position. It's terrible when people die. I swear it makes everyone change! I am so sorry you having a hard time over this....it's so sad. Too late to go into gory details but I can really empathise with you.

Try not to let it get to you too much xxxx
