Thank you, your story really did make me smile :)
Especially as tonight I rescued some random bits of paper my nana had written on - I can't even read her writing as she was registered blind and it's all a bit of a mess, but it's hers, and also the week after my Grandad died I took a hanky and a cushion cover from his house and sealed them in a bag to place in his memory box :A

And no, I didn't know about a string of ponies! :rotfl:You learn something new every day! :)

Glad that it made you smile Magic. How wonderful to have those pieces of paper from your nan, especially as she was blind, amazing and well done for rescuing them. I think that people that only want things of monetary value miss out on the real value of things.
When they cleared my nan's flat i was asked what I wanted, I asked for her hair net, one of her rolled up stockings(they used to look like doughnuts) and a pair of knitting needles. They meant nothing to any one else but they meant tons to me, they send me of to happy times my nan teaching me how to knit, watching crossroads as she would get her hair ready for bed (yes even at 6pm) and put on a hair net.
I am the rich one, I have all those memories, they just have a slightly bigger bank balance, I know what I would rather have.
Keep smiling Magic, your grandad is in your heart. xx :A

    Morning all.

Have actually read every page in this thread (really yes) and is fascinating....is taking over my life reading of everyone's exploits....I have work to do but this is more fun.

One question if I may.......(I read everything as I say but this one is probably obvious but escaping me) ..... the MoneySupkt web site has all the core savings data and I'm reading that as I type. So do I just use that as input on the agp? For example, the Savy buys page has Lake District cheese 350g on a (sains) 2 for 1 £3.99 offer.

How would I use that data to best advantage on an apg?

Understand the trigger items I think, understand the 8 different, 10 item rule. Understand the AvX logic. Also understand the 2,5,8,11 need but not the logic.

Don't fully understand the 1+2 (3 multiple) concept...is this reflecting 3 for 2 offers on MonSupermakt?

As I say I have done my homework and really have read the lot but these couple of steps elude me a bit.

I aspire to a cupboard like scamps1966 but would be happy with more modest gains :-)

If someone could mark my homework and put a couple of teachers notes in that would be great - cheers people

    Happy to oblige: :rotfl:

"Have actually read [STRIKE]every page [/STRIKE]1 or 2 pages in this thread (really yes)"

    "[STRIKE]One question [/STRIKE]Four questions if I may

#3 is this reflecting 3 for 2 offers on MonSupermakt

#4 (taken from later post) can you use this to repeat the same purchase sequence that I've seen good examples of over thread pages?

"As I say I have done my homework and really have read [STRIKE]the lot [/STRIKE] a couple of pages but these [STRIKE]couple of [/STRIKE]four steps elude me a bit. "

Sorry, I'm just messing. You have put a lot more into it than most and I see you got the answers you were looking for :T

bless you kitty.....you have reminded me of something I had long forgot......my granny's stockings looked like donuts too. they really did! and the other thing I remember of her was how she kept everything, and I mean everything down her big amazing bra....fags, purse, letters...you name it. I asked her once when I was about 12 I think why she kept it all down her bra....(bear in mind she had a colourful life) she said ' when you've been with as many b£££&&&&s as I have after about six weeks it's the last place they'll be looking for anything worthwhile . Turns out to be about true!! :)

Yep, I know they are fillers, but I thought fillers had to [STRIKE]be 'comparable' [/STRIKE] qualify for inclusion in the APG scheme (i.e. not be sandwiches, cigarettes, newspapers, etc) [STRIKE]with at least one other shop [/STRIKE]to count as one of the magic 8 items?

The word "comparable" often confuses when it comes to putting together fillers for your 8 items. I've changed your post to how it should read ;)

It is possible to get an APG voucher when you buy 7 things totally exclusive to Asda and an 8th item that is sold in just one other supermarket.

If absolutely everything was exclusive to A's (i.e. you didn't have even one comparable item) then how could they give you any difference back between A and another supermarket?
