What's it about?

There's currently a glut of movie boxsets available on the cheap. Whether you're a film buff, or don't know your Rocky from your Rambo, there are some great deals to be had.

What's on offer?

From a variety of online retailers, the following boxsets are available:
  • Superman 1/2/3/4* - £9.99 delivered from HMV. This one goes first simply because I am a massive Superman fan (see this past blog). Superman 2 is the best, although the MSG (Money Saving Girlfriend) was seen in the Superman returns (see my blog explaining this!). Also please don't hold Superman 4 against the superman range of films - all acknowledge it was a hideous mistake!
  • Back to the Future Trilogy* - £9.99 from Amazon. It is eligible for free delivery, but only if you buy something else which takes the whole order over £15.

To avoid the £3.23 delivery cost, either team up with mate who wants to buy something, or use this nifty tool, Amazon Filler Item Finder, which allows you enter the amount you need to spend to get free delivery (ie the £15 limit) and will list matches closest to that price (usually within 1p).
If you find any more cheap boxset deals, please reply to this thread and share them with other MoneySavers.

Aah but you save even more if you use it to find the best dvd deal - BUT then don't click on the links but go to the shops site via Quidco for cashback (and if CDWow is cheapest check on the vouchers board for an extra £1 off) :)

I always check the prices on this site before making ANY DVD purchase. If you find yourself regularly buying from the ones that are cheapest most of the time you can get quite a shock to and find out that they aren necessarily the cheapest.....Plus a few of the smaller shops undercut people like Play and CDWow quite a lot.
