you can get them all for under a tenner at various online sites.

I use this site all the time, it's got a good 'price watch' track option where you enter the dvd's you're interested in and at what price, when there tracks registers a dvd below that price you automatically receive an email.

I tend to watch for TV series, best bargains I've had over the years are Father Ted at £7 a series, Red Drawf at £6.50 a series (just need S8)

Woolworths in Hackney has a range of quality DVDs priced from £2.97 to £5.97 with most at £4.97. I just bought Al Gore's "An inconvenient truth" for £4.97 along with "The Godfather" Parts I and III - they didn't have Part II but I was able to order it for 24 hour delivery to the store for the same price. Good deal!

  • If you like the Vicar of Dibley, the complete collection box set is only £26 from Virgin Megastores as opposed to £43-£50 from other suppliers.

Note this is complete upto 2005 and doesn't include the final episodes or last months comic relief special

I have been using Play.com for ages. They are extremely cheap for all DVD's and quite often have "Special Offers On DVD's and Boxsets" but you must check the prices as sometimes they were cheaper a couple of weeks before anyway and now are priced at a slightly higher price although stated as a special offer. You only know this if you use the site often. I bought Jarhead for £3.99 and a week later it was in the Special Offer £6.99 group!?! This doesn't happen that often and can say that the site is really good for cheapies! And the delivery is free no matter how much you spend! If you don't like purchasing over the internet then try your local video rental shop as they quite often have an ex-rental basket and whatever you buy usually comes with a years guarantee, so if it stops playing because it's scratched for example, then you can go and get a free replacment within that year, but remember to keep your receipt as proof of purchase!!!
