Best iphone 5 deal?

Three are no worse than any other network for signal these days. Checking the coverage with a free sim is the best thing to do if you're joining a network you have no experience of though.

Depends why you want the iPhone 5 – if you have the 4S then it isn’t a very good upgrade, especially not when your getting tied into heavy 2 year contracts.

If its because of the 4G aspect of the phone, then AVOID 02 networks….which includes Tesco Mobile & Giff Gaff deals too.

02 do not yet have 4G, when they do get 4G NEXT YEAR the network frequency they will be using, still WILL NOT work.

O2 have also announced they will upgrade any phones when the 4g network comes out.

When the first iphones came out they were sold solely to the o2 network. O2 know how big the iphone is to them, i cannot picture a day when o2 would allow EE to take all their customers, not to mention the somewhat dubious contracts that the other network operators are being refused entry too?! Which im guessing is going to see a lot of discussions with ofcom

Finally, 4g will not be available to anyone next week. At the very earliest its about a month away and thats in london. They plan to release to 16 big cities accross the country before christmas they reckon this will only account to about 30% coverage. To add theres also the 4g charges which are estimated to be quite high, and the teething problems of delivering any such new network, i doubt you will see many users on 4g before summer next year anyway.

Though 20 meg download speeds on your mobile would be pretty awesome.


EE believe theyll have 98% coverage at the end of 2014.

According to info given to orange employees in their shops, the 4g plans from ee will cost around £6 a month more than the equivalent plan on orange/t-mobile. So you will be paying a slight premium if 4g is important for you.

Never heard of them, but Top cashback are offering £101 for The One Plan, £75.75 for Ultimate 500.

Not much available cashback wise as the iPhone 5 is so new and in demand.

If LTE doesn't bother you then £249 up front plus £26 a month for 24 months with o2 is about the cheapest over the period. That includes unlimited texts and minutes plus 1Gig of data a month.

Three are £20 cheaper over 24 months but they don't get good reviews from many people.

First historically Apple don't drop prices until a new model is released, the iphone 5 will probably not be reduced in price until the 5s or 6 is released next year.

Rather than saying unlimited you may be better quantifying what you need. What exactly do you need, remembering you generally can't use the data on a laptop by tethering. Given the difference could be £100's of pounds over the life of the contract its better to take some time and assess what you need now than rush in.

Vodafone O2, Three do not do fully unlimited plans they is a set limit on each network, be it on data, texts or minutes.

For "unlimited" plans (and unlimited does not realy mean unlimited there will be a fair use clause somewhere) T-mobile starts at £41 per month for 24 months, Orange starts at £51.



However as the iPhone 5 has just come out and is in high demand both here and in many other countries, it launched in addition 22 countries last week, so there is no reason for any network to make any sort of discount unless you really are a big spender with the network.

At this point in time both Apple and the networks don't have enough stock to supply demand at the price point they currently have, they have 3-4 week delays on delivery, so why should they even consider cutting prices.
