Looking for a decent laptop under £200

Hi there I am looking for a decent laptop which needs to be brand new, fast Internet and a good brand. Also it needs to be under £200 and not a netbook.

EDIT AS BEEN PROVEN WRONG BELOW

    ta all,

although i still think she will be very lucky to get a good quality brand, fast, brand new laptop for under £200 as there will have to be some compromise to get it so cheap,
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Why does it need to be brand new ? but if you insist on going new then these are within your budget.
If you want a new fast laptop then you will have to increase your budget
I'm not sure if you expect the laptop to increase your internet speed ?

right price but whether the other specs match requirements you will have to check + Medion ?

OP the Toshiba above does not meet your 'fast internet'
requirements because Windows 7 really needs 2GB of RAM to run smoothly as Cisco points out. The fact that you would have to spend extra to rectify this pushes the machine out of your price range. However, Cisco knows of one that is much better in so many ways, but has chosen not to tell you of it, despite the fact that it 's not a refurb that consequently denies you £100+ credit card protection (the alternative lets you pay cash, as opposed to Paypal only). It has a faster version of the same processor, it has bluetooth 4.0. and it matches the two USB 2.0 ports, but throws in a couple of 3.0 as well! Oh, and it has an HDMI out port. And the cam is over 1 MP, not the 0.3MP of the Tosh. Did i mention the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 certified High Definition Audio? There's no need to, I mean, isn't it a no-brainer that this is the better machine, apart from being far better value for money.
If your Asda is now out of stock then it's a shame you were unaware of this thread. The likes of Cisco deterred me from pursuing it, so it has languished in the older pages:

Had to snip the rest of the post as simply being childish and targetting another poster.

The machine to which you refer has already been recommended in post #4 of this very thread.
So there was really need need for your attack on Cisco001, other than petulance.

That's a bit rich coming from somebody who called a woman a pig on these boards.

The machine I referred to is the Medion E6227, and when I looked at that link it was titled Medion MD98145. On closer inspection it seems to be the same machine, so why Cisco didn't spot its obvious superiority is beyond me.
  • Boys,Boys. laurajane1 isn't going to get the dream at £200. Now tell the options civilly, or don't just bother eh.
