Sub-£250 Laptop Discussion

As laptop prices continue to fall, I thought it would be worth starting a thread for this price category.
It was prompted by my visit to Asda last night where I noticed a display of reduced laptops at the front of the store, one of which was an Asus SX137V reduced from £279 to £249. It had an AMD C-60 processor which is dual-core. but only about 1.3 GHz from memory.
As I was leaving I glanced again at the £199 offering which I had at first presumed was a netbook. It's actually a Medion E6227 15.6", reduced from £250 to £199! The only laptops I have seen before under £200 with Windows 7 and 12 months warranty are under-RAMed (1GB) machines offered as refurbs. The processor is an Intel Celeron B815 dual-core, which is 1.6 GHz although still 'entry level'. Amazingly, this machine has 4 USB ports, two of them USB 3.0. Also, Bluetooth 4.0 I think, although I haven't been able to find any reviews from Cnet, tech radar, Engadget etc. However, I know it has adequate HDD space and RAM (2GB), along with n wi-fi.
So, techies, is this the no-brainer bargain I think it is?

Is this worth discussing? There are not many laptop under £250.0

Surely the general rule is that "prices don't go down much over time, but you get more functionality for the same/similar price"?
