Oops I missed the bit about her telling you to F off! Send a registered letter to the MD of Vodaphone detailing what you have written here. This woman may not work for Vodaphone but she is acting on their behalf and I am sure that Vodaphone (if they really want to) can find out who she is. If you do not get satisfaction then it might be worth e-mailing The Sun/ Daily Mirror consumer sections see if you get any joy.
Sun , Daily Mirror and don't forget Sky News. They could present it in their newsflash news slot. Maybe the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 will pick it up and eventually Vodafone will collapse. Causing a price war amongst the mobile operators thus resulting in the consumer receiving unlimited calls for 10p a month contract.
Well it might work.....if you could prove that it did happen. Your words against theirs.0 -

Yeah, thanks for that, really helpful. These consumer bits are constantly printing stories from outraged punters so the red-tops can show their empathy with "working man". My advice/opinion was based on the fact that the op was upset with what happened to him/her and not satisfied with the Vodaphone CS response. I doubt Vodaphone will worry about this at all but if you talk to the right people maybe it would get the stroppy bint sacked. I was under the impression that most of these calls were/are recorded for your security, training blah blah blah. Obviously your advice would have been better than this but you appear to have forgotten to print it.You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -

Hi dagrowler,
Working for Vodafone, we do use an external company to contact customers for their feedback if they've recently dealt with customer services; although there would be no need for them to ask security questions (I’ve had feedback calls myself from them, with also being a Vodafone customer).
Vodafone do monitor public forums such as this one, so if you wanted to drop our team an email to discuss this further and also your price-plan then we'd be able to look into this for you in greater detail. If you'd like to get in touch you can do it through the email contact field on our website (https://www.vodafone.co.uk > contact us > email). If you then leave the short code FIT135 in the body of your email (and a link to this thread if you wish) we'll be able to investigate further.0 -

ooh cool, OK thanks! I do have to say that apart from the above moans i don't mind vodafone and generally i find the actual people who work for them nice. I even wrote one of them an email the other day to send to his manager as he was so good! (what a bumkisser i am now haha).
the "lady" i spoke to wasnt after feedback though, she said she wanted to confirm all my details as VF didn't have a password on record (which i'm 99% sure isnt true) that was why i was worried._____________________________________________

Vodafone have annoyed me recently too.
I phoned up as my contract was coming to an end only to be told that I can't continue on my exisiting £10 contract as to continue on the same tariff will now cost me £16! When I asked why he said 'well, everything's gone up in price".
He tried to offer me a tariff at £13 that was only half of what I am currently getting. When I told him that I will go away and think about it, as I am entitled to do so, he said it was a special offer that will only last for the next 24 hours!!! He was so patronising too.
So my next step is to contact the disconnections department and see what I can get!0 -
Years ago they used to advertise on televising about meeter readers having to give a password to the house occupier to prove who they were. I don't see why banks, mobile phone company's etc cannot use this to verify who they are when they phone the customer at home.0

I had a call last week - one of the "you've won a free phone" jobbies (where the "free phone" comes with a v expensive contract). The (heavily accented) man started by saying "Congratulations Mrs *****" (I'm a "miss" btw) "you have won a free phone".
"Oooh" said I. I thought I'd see what I got for free before telling him I've just upgraded and am not interested in his scam anyway.
He followed this with "Please can you tell me your telephone number".
He didn't seem to appreciate it when I said "You obviously have it. You just called me on it" :rotfl: The departure from the script seemed to throw him completely! We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
