Free Identity Fraud Protection

As far as I'm aware no one using this system has fallen victim to application fraud. I'm sure if they had, it would have been widely publicised.
How many people are using this system? I honestly don't know, but not too many I'd imagine. There would be a lot more if it was more widely publicised.
Here are two examples of the Free ID Protection system in action. The most recent was 26th of April, purchasing a contract mobile phone in Carphone Warehouse.
Carphone Warehouse:
Went through the usual routine, but when Carphone Warehouse carried out a real time check of my Credit File, the sales assistant was instructed to call her main office. I was put on the phone and confirmed I would submit my print on the application form. Application granted. The Manager I can assure you thought this was an excellent security system, which would frighten of crooks.
Online Credit Card Application:
Some time ago I applied for a Credit Card online. The application was processed BUT subject to Card Issuer sending me an application form to sign and print. Application granted.
The downside with an online applications is they take a little longer as all applications have to be manually processed. This in my humble opinion is a small price to pay for the added security.
