Wholesale DVD Sales....warning!

DVDs can only be so cheap, for box sets from major studios it will be rare for anyone to be cheaper than Amazon/HMV,The Hut/Play, especially on new release.
The DVDs these dodgy sites sell are made in factories in china but are typically not to the same quality both in terms of the packaging and the disks themselves.
All websites (within the UK and probably the EU) should legally display a geographical address on at least one page, a PO box is not valid, if the site doesn't show this, please don't shop there. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

Just noticed that this thread has been resurrected so thought I'd update our experience.
The DVD's are definitely fake but to date, we haven't had any "dodgy" transactions from our account, we paid with a debit card.
My husband found that some of the discs didn't play at all, so he emailed "Betty" and said that he wanted replacement discs or a refund. He also said that he realised that they were fakes but that as they were based abroad, he knew that he couldn't do much about it.
To his surprise, a week before Christmas, he received a parcel contained copies of the discs that he requested, all of which played as well as can be expected of a fake copy. Clearly "Betty" had taken his criticism on board! (Although not enough to issue a refund)"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -

This has to be the most idiotic comment I have heard.
There are plenty of legitimate websites that deliver worldwide and offer their customers the convenience switching currencies to see how much the item would cost in their local currency.0 -

So on that basis Amazon.com is a scam as you can select to pay in dollars or Pounds
Also Play.com is a scam (Pounds or Euros)

Just got our True Blood Season 5 dvd box set from https://www.wholesaledvdsales.co.uk. It finally arrived....from China ! It looks like it's all in good order but after closer inspection the picture inside the box is different from the real one. The discs are clearly printed badly. The discs are in plastic wallets which isn't normal. The discs have numbered stickers on them. The region is 1...where that was wasn't advertised. I have e-mailed the website several times and now get no answer.....so did a little research on them and if you go to the link just below you can see all the details of the person that supposingly owns the website. I checked to see if it would work with my website and it does.

If it is Karen Webb that owns the website....I HOPE YOU ROTT IN HELL !
Arghem....lol...Thankyou0 -
The big headline at the top of the page sums up their legitimacy -Notice:Only Western Union Accepted. Thanks for your support!
Western Union payments are designed for sending money to people you know. Any website using them as a payment method is a scam.
Based on that I'm somewhat surprised that you received anything at all.
There is also no physical contact address on the website.
I would also say there is a 95%+ chance that the registration details are fake.0 -
I am now in contact with HBO who sells the True Blood dvds...I'll let them investigate further.0
