  • A BR can have a Post Office account the only stipulation is it is for those on benefits only, so if you have a wage you can't put it in this account.

    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

You may not mean it 'in a horrible way' or to 'sound nasty' but to be honest I think you are bitter and jealous or it certainly sounds like it. Many people are BR through no fault of their own and due to circumstances beyond their control and it would seem you would like them to suffer just a little bit more. Nice, not.

Very few people are BR through no fault of their own come on how many buisnesses compared to credit card debt do you honestly think is higher well I will tell you the answer it's credit card debt.

Now if I earn say 20k a year and my credit limits are 30k and I lost my job but spent all of my 30k credit limits is that my fault or could I blame that on my Job.

I have every bit of sympathy for those who have lost their buisness etc but those who were living beyond their means knowing full well they couldn't afford the debt in the first place I have no sympathy for and there should be a some sort of scoring chart to workout who deserves bankruptcy and who doesn't IMO.

Have you asked them if they accept people who BR? I doubt it. You have made assumptions I strongly suspect.

It's no different to your assumptions that you can't get a bank account being BR.

The building societies listed will accept bankcrupts for any NON CREDIT SCORED product, so your typical savings account/cashcard/passbook account

Please can you cite that information. Thanks.

Also, this thread is all about how to deal with income going in and bills going out so do these do that anyway?

Yes lots of them do it

For example coventry building society, you get online banking, faster payments (well next day!) direct debits/so's etc), so dont need a local branch network

Each one is going offer different levels of capability, but if you are bankcrupt and there is one locally then why not change the way you manage your money etc

With regards to them accepting non discharged BR i can assure you they do for savings only products but if you wish to check it wouldn't take you that to email them all :)

So are you br, or are you giving us a list of Building Societies.
Do you know any br's who have got an account with any of those listed.

    You missed Norwich & peterbough.

They would open an account for me post discharge, two years later it is still a basic account ie,e no chequebook or overdraft.
