  • Just a thought ...Has anyone tried the Yorkshire Bank ... I went BR 2 1/2 years ago and opened an account a few weeks prior to this. They were really good with me - no problems with a debit card, standing orders etc. I've never done internet banking so I can't comment on this but I know it would have been available. If I have any questions I just ring them and ask.
May be worth someone going into their branch and asking the manager.
  • Yorkshire bank were one of the 12 I emailed, I will report back their answer.

  • I have a Cashminder account which I opened earlier this year when I realised I would have to prepare to go BR. I am going BR today (which is why I have been awake since 4.30am ... *sigh*), and have just read the *wonderful* news about the Cashminder! Oh joy! Something else to stress about today!

I will let you know later whether the Co-op do as they have stated in their press release, and let me keep my account because I'm an existing customer ... or not!! If they don't, I'll be off to Barclays sharpish this afternoon!
  • Inthemire, Co-op have stated existing customers will be fine and as you've had your cashminder before today I am sure you will be fine. All the best for today.

They were not in the list. You mean Yorkshire building society:)
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

  • Pippa, when you have an answer from them all and have let us know I'll then email them and see what answer I get. If anyone else wants to do the same that would be excellent so we can see if different answers are given.
