Hi, I am new to this, and finding it slightly confusing. Looks like 18185 are the cheapest mob to mob, but do I sign up with them and dial 0808 1 703 703 or do I dial 020 81 80 2828. I am with orange PAYG so dont have inclusive minutes. Which one would be cheapest?
    Thanks

It may depend on which Orange PAYG Plan you're on but, at first glance, I don't think it's worth you using either of 18185's gateways from your Orange PAYG to call another UK mobile.

If I'm reading it correctly, on Camel, you'd pay 25p/minute to call any freephone number, 20p/minute to call any standard 01 or 02 geographical number and 20p/minute to call another UK mobile - so you might just as well call the other mobile by simply dialling it directly!

On Racoon , you'd pay 25p/minute to call any freephone number, 15p/minute to call any standard 01 or 02 geographical number and 15p/minute to call another UK mobile - so, again, you might just as well call the other mobile by simply dialling it directly!
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Which is the best override number for talktalk customers?

Used to use it but then on my bill i noticed for using some of the numbers on callchecker I was getting charged 12-15p a minute anyway?
