That is TT problem, you have proof for Ofcom of a current webpage that says 30 days.
EDIT:
I just copied your link & opened it in Firefox incase iE was not refreshing, 5.7 on my link & yours state 30 days trial.
That is the page I linked, that is where the 30 day trial used to be, there is nothing there now. I have searched the entire page, there is no reference to 30 day trial.0 -

Nevertheless, if not already done so use an alternative router (borrow from a friend/relative or buy a cheap one from ebay for a few pounds), plug this into your test socket (located behind master test socket) and see if the disconnections continue. If they stop then the issue is with the old router or with the wiring in your property. If they continue, then you need to head over to the TT forums and lodge this issue with the support team and they will get to the bottom of this.
Yes TalkTalk will let you leave within 30 days but at least give their forum support a chance to fix this issue. If the fault is found to be with TalkTalk (eg their engineer's fault) then more than likely they will give you x months of free service as compensation after they've resolved it...but give them a chance to put matters right. AND STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PHONE SUPPORT!!!!
I'm using the brand new router which they sent me when I signed up. I do have my own netgear router which I could try. I'm very nervous about taking things off the wall and plugging stuff into sockets, when I have no idea what i'm doing.
The disconnections have diminished considerably (not gone completely), it's the slow speed and unresponsiveness i'm left with now, despite speed test websites saying im getting 10/11mps.
I've been witness to the amazing phone support. "I don't see a problem with our line". "Hang on i'll just run a test...There is a problem with your line, I'll have an engineer call you tomorrow." Engineer - "I don't see a problem with your line." Give me strength!0 -
Yes first of all try the Netgear router in your usual socket. If still no improvement, then its an absolute doddle plugging your router (either) into the master socket. Simply unscrew the 2 screws on the master socket and plug your router into the test socket. More info here:

Leave the router plugged in the test socket for a couple of days...if disconnections stop, then the fault lies inside your property, if they continue its likely to be an external fault. If the latter, then get further help on TT forums.0 -

Ah, I've encountered a problem. My Netgear connects with an Ethernet connection whereas the wire from the wall socket is a little ADSL connection.
I have connected the TT router to the test socket - along with my phone - which happened to be behind my bed, so i'm not very happy about it. I'll wait and see if there is an improvement.0 -

For the time being ignore the speedtests, your noise margin may have gone up (dlm kicks in if you switch on/off your modem too much in a short space of time). But crucially are you still experiencing disconnections when connected to the test socket? If the answer is 'no' the the problem is at your end. Also post your current line stats (see here).
If disconnections continue then have a look here and submit a thread on the forums.Forum staff are far from a good standard of care but granted betetr than phone support, you dont need to give them any chance to do anything.0
