 This is what you wrote:

 Well if your supplier does that, then I would change supplier.
 The idea of DD is that it keeps the payments the same each month. If the supplier is going to increase the DD for winter, then there is no point in being on DD in the first place, as the only people who will benefit will be the supplier.
 The DD should be set at an extimated average of the 12 monthly bills.0
