I think I've only needed to do a photo for Helion although I'm sure there are companies I haven't worked for that ask for them.0

Going through the list after recommendations from a lovely member here
and a few require an email back but there are quite a few which require a picture uploaded. I'm avoiding those as I feel uncomfortable with that but can anyone tell me companies that don't require a picture upload from what they remember please? So far I have a tally of 2. If I get through the list before I get a reply I will add the list here.
Why do you feel uncomfortable?
The photos are used very rarely and don't go beyond the MS companies involved.0 -

True say. I simply never upload pictures to the internet, full stop. That's why I am avoiding it I guess.Cup of Tea? :coffee:0 -

I don't like it either. It's completely unnecessary and an invasion of privacy in my opinion. I asked one company why they wanted it and the woman essentially said that it's not used for anything, she's just nosey and wants to see what people look like - how very creepy!
Personally, I have a very low opinion of those who request a photo, clearly they have little respect for their shoppers.0 -

There can be a whole host of reasons
Some have more than just ms work and clients may want promotion workers that look a certain way.
Some issue ID cards with for open audits, if there is ever a security query in a bank for example they can describe what that person looks like.
Every company has due dilligence to ensure people they employ in uk have a right to work here, holding full personnel records usually includes copy of passport. Companies asking for photo may just check that that person is as they say eg male female approx age etc.
If. Clients think they have ID'd a shopper companies can quickly check description.
Details can be passed to HMRC on request of them...
If you are giving large advances to shoppers and they run off with it, its nice to have a photo to give police (I've had nearly £10k from a company over past 2 weeks) I wouldn't give to some one ive only ever spoken and emailed with, without a photo no matter how trusted I believed they were...
Just a few from top of my head...
On another note a ms company is advertising for shoppers across country (not midlands) to spend up to 4 hours each visit in wholesale. Warehouses. More details on fieldstar.0
