  • Wonder what odds I could get in a bookies for myself completing around 30-40 supermarkets next week and still forgetting a loaf of bread or milk I need :)

    30-40? Part timer :p
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

as mentioned, other than for competitor visits, which has always been a grey area, employees will have given consent to be recorded, reported on, interviewed etc through their employee contracts...

Competitor visits are wrong wrong wrong esp video ones I won't do them

"Hi. I'd like a ticket to travel every day this week to Thistown Tube Station please."
    "Thistown Tube Station?"
    "Yup."
    "What - from here?"
    "Yup."
"The same Thistown Tube Station that is a 20 minute walk down Thistown High Road from here?"
    "Yup."
"And you don't want to walk it?"
    "Nope."
"Suggest you take the bus, mate."
"No, I'd like a train ticket for the week please."
"You do realise that a train journey will take you on a six mile round trip via Othertown Junction?"
"Oh yes, of course I do."
"And you also realise that once you get to Othertown Junction, you'll need to change to the low-level tube platform - which takes up to seven minutes - and then wait for a tube train back?"
    "I certainly do."
"And you are clear that, once you get to Thistown Tube Station, you'll need to ride the escalator all the way back up again?"
    "That I do."
"As long as you know it'll take about half an hour. Here's a form for an Oyster card."
"No - I don't like Oyster cards. Can I have a train ticket for the week please?"
"Err - I take it you also realise an Oyster card will mean your week's travel costs less than half what a train ticket would?"
"Yup - I'm, err, allergic to plastic."
"OK. So a week's ticket from here to Thistown Tube Station. We can't actually sell tickets to individual tube stations, they're not on the system. I'm not sure how to do this one - I've never had anyone ask for a journey like this."
    "It's OK, I'm not in a hurry."
[Lots of tapping at computer, followed by clerk calling a supervisor in the phone.] "Listen mate, it's a 20 minute walk. The number 17 bus, which stops right outside this station every six minutes, takes you to right outside that station in seven minutes. The train journey will take half an hour..."
    "I like trains, me."

This is the conversation I will not now be having, because I've dropped the job. It's there on ESA if anyone fancies it.

Read the job brief and the questionnaire, you take the recommendation rather than insist on a convoluted route if that is what the clerk recommends.

    I enjoyed that... Thanks!

But you should have rang ESA as there may have been some leeway with the scenario. Which is ridiculous. I've noticed a fair few of the scenarios created are either unrealistic or not possible especially in regards to collection of tickets etc.

My city train station is shut but still bought a ticket that will take me half way there on the replacement bus service and turn the journey into about 90 min. I can drive it in 30 or take the bus in 45.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

This is an email I recently received. Just wanted to warn others to beware. So obvious it is a scam.

Not seen any bank jobs up at all for the last 2 months round here. Is there a rule about how long you have to wait before you can complete the same location again? Thanks

GFK banks? They've been doing another project that you need to be a customer of the bank for.
