Whats odd is that gap havent sacked me, called me to give a premium pizza visit tonight then emailed offering another premium to redo the one I messed up.
not sure i can get away with the same scenario but different location this time though.
but just shows they dont sack people for the sake of it as many would suggest

I had a bit of a run in with GAP, when they asked about my ID. I answered all their queries but refused to confirm my ID. I eventually received a very nice e-mail, completely putting my mind at ease, which included some info on why they do sack shoppers. Since then, I've had 3 phone calls, for 4 visits at very good rates in deed. :)

The restaurant in question were disputing my report and believed they had ID'd me on CCTV. I responded to GYP's questions but did not confirm my ID, instead saying that confirming my ID would have no bearing on my report or the level of service afforded to me by the restaurant at that time.

The restaurant will know which customer you were, and the crew members will quite possibly be shown the footage (in the hope they can spot you again). It's really not the best mystery shop to do if you're worried about your ID.

Best get my false beard, glasses and Pinocchio nose out then, LOL. As it happens, it's a restaurant that I've only ever shopped once before and have no intention of shopping again :)

I've done more drive thrus than walk ins and have never had any problems with them :), mind you I have a few different family cars to choose from.

I was always under the impression that staff were not to find out the identity of an mystery shopper. Does it not defeat the purpose if management go around showing pictures of mystery shoppers?

That's what I thought. I was under the impression that only managers have access to the CCTV, and therefore possible MS IDs.

That said, you don't know if 'The Management' do have a quiet word with their staff.

I might go back there, as a 'normal' customer, order a meal and ask for the receipt, nice and loud. See if it attracts anyone's attention ;)
