Hi. After some advice on the TNS front (new shopper with them)...

Accepted three shops on SASSIE which all say: 'This shop must be performed by 03/04/13, on these days and times : Visit specific. NO SATURDAY VISITS, Refer to sticky information.'

I accepted them assuming this meant I could do them on Weds 3rd. Sticky info, only visible once accepted, says: 'Day(s): Wednesday 27 March or Thursday 28 March. Time: between 5:00pm and 9:30pm.' Which would be impossible (today being 29th), and would seem to contradict the original brief. The questionnaire will only let me set the visits for these two dates in the past.

I've emailed TNS and they are shut until Tues 2nd. Can anyone advise whether I can actually complete these visits on the 3rd and, if not, whether I will now be penalised for ditching these impossible shops?

    Thanks in advance.

If my memory serves me correctly, this has happened to me before and it'll be perfectly fine for you to do them on Wednesday. It's just that for whatever reason, they can't change the date on Sassie, so you'll have to select one of the impossible dates from the drop-down, but complete the receipt details with the correct date. Wait and see if they get back to you on Tuesday and what they say, but you should be fine.

Your comment mentioned the fee for the assignment. Whether it be reimbursement or fee itself they don't get mentioned on here. This is purely to protect us as MS'ers from continually dropping fees. We don't want companies undercutting other companies as its only us that really get hit in the pocket.

You will notice people don't mention fees other than saying eg 4x burger fee as most folk know what the burger fee is.

    Hope this makes sense.

Still learning here! I get it now. Still appreciate a response on whether you can return items. Thanks

I know which assignment you did as I also did a couple. I would double check the brief but probably best you don't return the item. I spoke to the allocator earlier in the week and it seems that there may have been issues in the past of people not completing the assignment properly, she didn't go into it in any detail but it appears the client are watching closely.

Best bet is put it down for a family member/ friend for Christmas...its only 9 months away!

I do one of these MF visits a year, the total number I am allowed by NHS Scotland, no more burden on the state than if I'd not been a shopper.

It's actually every 2 years for a free test for those under 60, 1 year for those with diabetes, over 60 or with eye health issues. I did nark me when I was phoned originally and told to take 'the free test'.

I do around 4 of these each year for all the main chains, so I make sure I always book a 'private' test.

My last visit (at a chain I can't mention) did the most comprehensive test I ever experienced, lasting 1hr 50 minutes, and that was before the tried to sell me frames! That ophthalmologist got my vote as the most conscientious I ever had the pleasure to have a consult with.

"Payment for all assignments completed in February will be processed in the first week of April".

Maybe with only burger joint jobs available, they're finding cash flow a bit troublesome?

I'm diabetic, thats why I do one a year, the Tern ones I do have the test fee cancelled by the client before they claim the fee from the NHS.

I noticed that with all the checks they are doing with swing tags. I plan on keeping the items I bought this time. I was just wondering if I did any more or if I got several shops next time. Anything I don't want to keep, I'll just eBay then. I can see how less scrupulous people might try to make up data- though how you'd get that past them with the likes of CCTV and staff remembering you etc, I don't know.

How is your pay history showing for the click and collect jobs? Mine is just showing the fee and not any reimbursement. Also I did some for the same retailer but phone up and have delivered jobs and was told the delivery fee would be refunded, but nothing is showing on the pay history and nothing has gone back onto my card. Think I need to phone them up I suppose as otherwise these jobs are going to be costing me money
