I had a brilliant one a little while back listenning to two members of staff talking about mystery shoppers, if they'd ever been shopped, how they could tell if they were being shopped. Then one was said how they were always really easy to spot.

Didn't spot me and I was sitting 4 feet in front of him

Haha I love that! Excellent! :rotfl:

    Hello everyone :)

I had to take a photo of a electrical store in my local large shopping centre and was grabbed by the centres security staff and taken to the office. They thought I was planning a terrorist attack as I looked suspicious. Yes, I was in a fluff because my camera wouldn't work so was swearing quietly to myself. When I explained and handed over my job notes from MS company I was then frog marched out of the centre and told not to come back! I have since been back to shopping centre on a non MS visit and haven't been stopped by security. However, when I see them now, walking towards me my heart stops and I do go red lol.

Can I ask a question please? I've got my first clothes purchase reimbursement for a high st retailer next week. Its fee plus reimbursement of x amount. Do I just have to buy 1 item upto x amount or can I buy say 2 items upto x amount? It doesn't say in the job notes only says 'make a purchase'. Obviously if the 2 items cost over x amount then they'll only pay upto x amount. Confused.com!

I had one with a security guard last year, I tried to remain organised and official like after the dirty look I got when I said it was part of my job and him saying "look I really can't help you, you can't do it" I calmly and casually asked for his name and a telephone number of his boss, he then backtracked and asked what other stores I needed to photograph and would let ALL security guards I was there and not to approach me!
I also was questioned by a policeman when I had to take a photo of a bookies but for obvious reasons I was a little more open and showed him my notes, I told the MS company I wasn't comfortable at all.

Hehe, me and the wife were doing a Service Measure shop on Wednesday, we over heard the staff sating they had a mystery shopper in, the bloke two tables away got the full floor show service, shame as the service we got was sketchy...

Stuff the old bill, you are in a public place performing a perfectly legal act.
  • Won't post on the alerts because its not really huge or may have been done this month already but Gyp have premiums slightly higher than the normal ones for burger visits x

I had an assignment today at the big SUPERMARKET in Winchester. I was supposed to take a photo of the front of the store at the end of my visit but my phone run out of battery.
I wondered if anybody in the forum who might visit this Tesco tomorrow to shop or just happens to pass outside during the day could take a picture of the store front and send it to me?
I wouldn't normally ask such a thing but I have a flight to catch tomorrow!
    Thanks in advance!

Had my FIRST public member ask why I was taking a photo today! And it was rudely! what would you have replied before I say what mine was lol

Had done a restaurant one and part of the assignment was to take a photo of the exterior.

Even I was on the opposite side of the road to the restaurant, a man asked me what I was doing.

I said that my ambition was to visit every single one in the country and take a photo to prove it.
  • I visited 2 small, single unit sites today which both had enormous great big lorries parked right in front of them. Entirely useless photos. The MS company will think I'm taking the mick. :rotfl:

I was in the car park taking the photo when the instore VENDOR rep (who I wasn't assessing) came over to me on his way home and asked if I was a Mystery Shopper... I think I said I had just bought the camera and was testing it out!

    Quick thinking :D
