Have any of you had a closed train shop? What have you done with regards the report?0

Email them with pic, and you should be OK.0

Anyone else noticed you can now complete (and return) GAP reports using an iPhone or iPad? The problem used to be the inability to select images from the camera or photo stream, but now you can - and was able to complete my first response without having to fall back to a laptop - meaning I can complete my report in realtimeand move on to the next job.
It appears to be thanks to the latest iOS update, rather than changes to the GAP site, but at least it is a step forward if you use these devices!0 -
I have read what seems like hundreds of posts on this MS thread! Its been really helpful. My biggest question outstanding is can you only get assignments if you live near big towns or shopping centres? On rural areas with only a couple of towns in a ten mile radius would it be a non starter?
I don't mind travelling but obviously if you go a long way you eat up any profit? That said I need school hours and term time only but have heaps of experience in retail management.MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!0 -
It's usually the way that there are more assignments in more populated areas but against that there will be many more mystery shoppers competing with you for work.
If you live in an area which the MSC find hard to fill jobs you may benefit from the higher premiums they pay to get them done. Also sign up with companies that tend to be everywhere eg petrol stations.
Never be afraid to ask for petrol money especially if a job has been hanging around.0 -

easiest way would be to sign up to them all and see.
it really depends what shops/businesses they are and if there is already another shopper that covers that area
but some remote locations stick around for ages as no one else will go and companies will often pay a premium to get them covered.

the above post wasnt there when I first started responding, but glad we've essentially said the same thing0 -

Thank you. When you say sign up to them all - do you literally mean all the companies on the list on page one of this thread? Was I being naive in thinking I'd pick the three or so most people had referred to on this board?! Any tips for when I sign up? For eg. I was wondering whether to use a different e mail address to my usual one? Can I do all the looking for (ans hopefully accepting) of assignments online rather than have to use the phone?MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!0 -
Sign up to them all unless they only shop specific clients and you are not interested in those assignments for example hotel stays. If you want to find out about assignments straight away use the email you check the most.0

ive easily got 20 within 3 miles so I agree silly to limit, maybe just worried that they wont get proper interactions if people rushing to get through so many in a day
I emailed them as there were 20 I could do over two towns. They agreed to let me take them all on the condition that if I don't complete them all in the one day I'll be off the FM team... Fingers crossed I get the usual rubbish service then.
The reason it was set at eight was in case people took on too many and cancelled at the end of the day leaving no time for another shopper to pick up. They didn't want to risk it so set limits low.0 -

the ones near me have all gone, so some one got them, and gfk have booked me up on "full" installation pots visits at a premium so less visits and paperwork for less time and nearly same money ... sorted0
