Thank you. When you say sign up to them all - do you literally mean all the companies on the list on page one of this thread? Was I being naive in thinking I'd pick the three or so most people had referred to on this board?! Any tips for when I sign up? For eg. I was wondering whether to use a different e mail address to my usual one? Can I do all the looking for (ans hopefully accepting) of assignments online rather than have to use the phone?
yup, unless some are regional only like scotland / london and you are not in these areas
you can use a new email address if you wish as long as you have easy access to check it,
most companies allocate via websites, but some do by phone, text sms or email or a combination of all four
to get premiums, you usually need to ask for it via email or a phone call if it isnt auto offered (gyp add them on auto for difficult to cover stores)0 -

the ones near me have all gone, so some one got them, and gfk have booked me up on "full" installation pots visits at a premium so less visits and paperwork for less time and nearly same money ... sorted
Nicely done! My phone ones are virtually next door to each other, apart from the one at the end of my road
Reckon I might have lined myself a bit of a tricky day up by the time I've factorred in the pots though. Still, beats working for a day, though.
Are your other jobs still going alright?Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

You can reschedule the pots to tomorrow if needed.
I've been asked to so more phones today all in one major shopping centre too, and do the pots at some point tomorrow.0 -
Got a tax question for you... [I can hear the yawns, I apologise!]
At the moment I claim no expenses for transport. However I am going to be moving soon and to make life easier for myself I am considering a more expensive travel card to get to my PAYE job faster. As a result of this travelcard, I will be able to pick up more MS jobs as I will be able to travel to more places. If for example the travelcard is an extra £30 a month on top of what I am already paying for transport, do you reckon I'd be able to claim £15 of that as expenses? My justification is that if I wasn't MSing, I wouldn't bother with the card...0 -
Does anyone know why ESA would say hold pay? I have only ever had pending and approved before

pots take a bit longer than expected, due to staff not being where they should so glad i wasnt doing some phones today too
how every one else get on ?
@skivenov may have 3-4 hours on sunday morning/afternoon if any interest to you, similar location as last one... was going to to do it all myself but cant be bothered :rotfl: no worries if not0 -
Mine went alright, there was only a MoS at one of the stands. 10 minute mooch round the shop, check back once or twice and failing that collar the first promising looking randomer who wanders past. All done and my phone shops and home for half 2.
That said, I started my 3 phone shops in the centre at 10 and I'd done them and written them down by 10:45.
Sunday sounds alright. I'm working my "real job" Saturday morning, but other than that I've got nothing planned for the weekend, so just let me know what you want to do.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Technically you are supposed to keep a diary of all of your journeys and claim a percentage of the whole season ticket based on how many are self employed based as opposed to the normal commuting/pleasure journeys. i.e you could claim 50% of the entire ticket price if the total number of trips made for mystery shopping equal 50% of the journeys made in a month. You would adjust the percentage to suit your own circumstances.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

For those whose only occupation is ms, what do you say your job title is when asked?0
-
It's my part time occupation, but "Auditor".
For a lot of reasons, one being it's basically what we do, it's low-risk for vehicle insurance purposes, and no one's ever going to want a lengthy conversation with you about it, because they'll think you're an accountant.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
