I was just wondering - I am new to RM and was always under the impression they only offered jobs via telephone. However I have gotten an e-mail (from what seems a legit e-mail address) saying the february jobs are now online and here is how to log on. Is this normal? Do they sometimes not call but put jobs on the website?
Also, can anyone confirm whether this company deducts your tax and NI for you so you don't have to worry about that with this company? I have read a coupld of conflicting things and was just hoping for a final confirmation.
    Thank you :)

They still sometimes call with certain jobs but more andmore of them are now going online http://retailhawk.com/login.php.You will need to have been supplied with a password and username, if not askthem to set you up. All work for them is on a self-employed basis so you areresponsible for tax etc

I truly hope this thread is read by MS companies who shop funeral directors.

Do NOT email me directly asking if I want to shop companies local to me. I have had to use their services far too recently and don't want to be reminded that these businesses exist as its too hard.

How are they going to know your circumstances? Go to My settings-edit profile and turn off email notifications, then you won’t get any job offer emails from them.

I lost my wife last year and used this company’s service, 3 weeks later the next round of jobs appear on the job board. Yes it brings back memories and is upsetting. there is no way I will be able to face doing the jobs again for along time but it's my choice to continue receiving emails from them and my choice not to do the jobs.

I agree, same situation with me. I tried 2 but I was still too emotional. Spoke to the agency and low and behold they stopped offering them and asked me to get in touch when I was ready to add them again. They aren't idiots they do understand, don't be afraid to tell them.
  • Can anyone confirm when PIP pay? I have only just completed my first set of work for them.

If im reading the website correctly ant work done in Feb will be paid around the 15th of March?

The 15th of the month after so you are correct.

Must admit after using one of these companies last year for my dad's funeral they were brilliant.

I had to cancel loads of jobs at really short notice and has to be said all of the MS companies including some that we get really frustrated with dealt with me really well.

still don't fancy doing the jobs and I do understand it can be quite raw and difficult to actually discuss.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Hi, I have just completed my first assignment for GfK. I have worked for MF for a long time and am used to being able to see if the assignment has been accepted and when it will be paid, but with GfK, I can't see this sort of info anywhere. Will I get notification if I have done it correctly etc?

Also, do you REALLY have to print everything off as it says?

    thank you
