Morning :hello:
Tiglath sorry about your auntie
We're out and about today. Nothing exciting though - we're going to Morrisons, then the bank, then to the scrap metal place with our treasuresI think it's worth a massive £15
I'm sure there's somewhere else we have to visit but I can't remember where :undecided
Egg sales are up a bit so I have some pocket money to spendI've just checked the greenhouses, lots of tomatoes are ready so I'll pick, chop and freeze them later.
I'm collecting shoeboxes. The plastic drawer fronts in the freezer are breaking (I remember AussieLass warning me about that when I first bought it) and there's no bars across the middle to hold the food in. So I need boxes that are just a bit taller than the drawers. I'm not explaining very well, I might take a pic laterBulletproof0 -
Morning All
cat_smith  I hope that DH is ok (Is he a soldier or a doctor?) (((hugs)))
It was very windy here last night and it is as black as Newgate's knocker out there at the moment, I was hoping to try to get some washing done and on the line, but it looks like it will be the airers
Freezers are defrosted, the chest freezer took 20 minutes :T I always do that one before the upright, so that all the stuff from the upright goes in there because that takes a good hour to do
We need to get to Ikea this weekend to get DD a new wardrobe and bookcases so that we can get all of the carp off of her floor. Honestly their bedrooms were spotless when they were small (probably because muggin's did it), but I am not physically able to nowso I am ashamed to say that their rooms are tips  But they are young adults and they have to learn.
Oh well DH will be home soon from his first shift, so I must get a shuffle on.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

morning!
am a bit grumpy today as we're having to cancel our much awaited weekend away due to DH's bad back:( he's awaiting a phonecall from his doctor as he cant make it to the surgery at the moment. He needs to know how many painkillers he's allowed as he's on some very strong stuff already for his back, srthritis and heart.
Am fed up as the weather is so nice too:cool:
Still there's far worse going on in the world so I must get over it and make the best of my weekend off. Poor DS and his GF wont be too happy either as they were going to be having the house to themselves for the weekend!;) Its their second anniversary.
(((hugs))) to Tiglath x x
RR - hope your DD is much better now x
Washing on the line, more in the machine. House tiday. Quiche for tea.

Morning all. Windy here , lovely drying weather
Tiglath, so sorry to hear about your auntie, you are in my thought.
Its my daughters 15th birthday today. So "Happy Birthday ". I paid for her to have a brazilian blowdry as her hair goes frizzy . She had it done just before she went back to school and it has made such a difference to her hair. No more frizz:j:j so no more stressing in the bathroom. Also got her a new hockey stick, a couple of dvds she wanted a bling bling phone case and a bracelet that I picked up months ago when she happened to mention that she liked it.
Ds1 left her card and present here and this morning a big bunch of flowers were delivered to her from him.
Dinner is her choice and she has asked for Macaroni cheese with steak and salad
General tidy up today
Hope everyone is well and have good a good day.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Morning all,
Sistercas I read it as Cat's DH was doing the surgery not having it, but maybe im wrong ?? either way I hope he is safe xx
ohi didnt think of that
Ooops. Sorry if I worried anyone too much. He's a surgeon!
Heard from him again last night. It's hot hot hot out there. But he's settling in.

Morning all,
Start as i mean to go on today i think. The thing with all this decluttering means ive got loads more storage space than i need so ive just humped another chest of drawers down the stairs to be taken up the local refuse centre hopefully the weekend. Ive warned hubby as he hates me changing things and at least it wont be a shock when he comes home.
Ive cleaned out the greenhouse, swept it and washed the staging and it goes without saying all garden duties are now done but i need to get on with the household chores before i lose momentum.
The workmen have gone to annoy someone else in my road today:D.
All my windows are open, the weather is bright and sunny.... i think its going to be a good day.
Pork chops for tea i think (hubbys favourite as he'll be home tonight).

Third load of laundry being done, and lemon drizzle cake in the oven - I think the extra thyroxine has perked me up
Still got lots to do but it's looking manageable for once. Might get the bread machine out in a bit as the kitchen is fairly clear; if I also whizz up some carrot + coriander soup, that's lunch sorted.

(((Tiglath))) and (((Hilstep)))
Dishes washed and breakfast made. Bed stripped in spare room ready to be made up nicely for dd coming home tonight for a couple of days to see her sister in hospital.
Builder working in bathroom and waiting for info from hospital to see if we need to go in today and discuss dd's health further.
Need milk and bread and to look out chicken in freezer to make curry tonight but don't want to miss a phone call. Youngest packing things ready to go to uni tomorrow so things are hectic.
Lunch will be leek and potato soup made yesterday and a sweet potato burger and curry for tonight unless things go pear shaped and could end up being fish and chips or a quick stir fry.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
