Do they just give you a set amount towards the fees, or do they provide you with an actual solicitor and whatever it costs they cover?
From what I can see in the terms, you need to present an invoice from your own solicitor, dated AFTER the prize draw on September 1st, and they will pay it up to the value of 1,800 pounds.
The promoter is giving me a ring tomorrow. I'll update when I know more.
I thought winning the ride on Lamborghini was hilarious already. This beats that by miles.

Yes it is a strange prize(and not so sure about the 'ethics' of it from a dating site) but what a fantastic saving if you are going to get divorced anyway - £1800.
Well done.0 -

What an unusual prize, but its obviously gone to the right person, well done. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0

If divorce is something you have both seriously thought about and you feel would make your lives better then good luck luck to you! Well done on your win! I do wonder how many people entered in the spur of the moment after a bit of a row with their husband/wife!:) That's probably why the others didn't claim! What a strange prize but useful if you wanted one anyway!

EEK! Hopefully, since mine is no-contest and mediated, and we're doing a lot of the work ourselves, it won't cost anywhere near that much. But it does add up really, scarily quickly. We got married for a total of about £200 in total (so frugal!), so having to pay so much to undo it is a kicker.0
