roxburghe have my details - help

Hi all, sorry a newbie here, i have read lots of threads about roxburghe/apcoa and need some advice. I have had 3 parking enforcement notices, which i ignored. Then came the letters from roxburghe, asking for £88 for each ticket (a total of £264). I worried over the first one and so paid it (stupidly) in two installments. Now i have had the further two, and paid 22.50 off the first one, agreeing to a payment plan to pay off every 3rd friday of the month. This was before I realised it was a scam! so wondering if i can now call and play the harrassment card, because they have my bank details to take the money already. can they still take it?! desperate for some advice, i am a student nurse and cant afford to pay these fines! thanks in advance!

The telephone calls from Roxburghe are easily dealt with. Say, “The alleged so-called debt is denied. You must now refer this matter back to your client. Any further communication on this matter will be regarded as harassment under terms of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.”
As it’s Roxburghe, also say, “I will also report you to the Office of Fair Trading, who are currently investigating you and are “minded to revoke” your licence.” I'm sure that they'll appreciate being reminded of this.
Make a note of the date and time of the call.
The next and final stage will be a couple more letters from a solicitor, Graham White.
Graham White are the same people as Roxburghe. Compare the signatures on their letters. They are solicitors, but only because they pay a retired solicitor, Michael “not the brightest button ever sewn on the frock coat of justice” Sobell, to use his name.
Graham White are under investigation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for threatening people with legal action that they can't actually take.
Continue to ignore everything you get from them. Soon, they’ll run out of empty threats and stop throwing good money after bad.

Thanks for all your help. I'm wondering if they will buy the "debt is denied" because I have paid a portion of it off! However I will say the lines above and ignore any further contact. Feel silly for falling for the scam0

Have you actually signed something for the payment plan? Just wondering if you've actually signed a CCA Agreement - which would make it a bit different because that can affect credit rating (unlike a verbal chat with a scammer and then a realisation that they are ripping you off).PRIVATE 'PCN'? It was never a debt, as defined in law, in the first place. Did you take out a loan and enter into a credit agreement with the car park owner?
You don't need to tell Roxburghe that though. One would expect a professional debt collector to know the difference. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
No i havent signed anything, just a verbal agreement on the phone to pay a set amount on the 3rd week of each month. She was recording the call though apparently...0

That's OK, it would only be a concern if you had physically signed a Consumer Credit Agreement which you did not.
So start ignoring it all and don't fall for it again; tell your friends & colleagues.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
