iPhone 5 - what are we expecting?

NFC for a first ! Forget your card ? use your phone...What would you expect the iPhone 5 to have, that it doesn't have, in order to overwhelm you? Existing iPhones will get the new iOS 6, so we're talking here specifically about hardware, not software.
WP8 is NFC
until 2013 & something to impress me Apple I'm not shelling out mega for muck, frankly we have Vodafone in this country for that, who needs matching hardware? Not me, and a several million more others.
It's a mess iphone, 2 releases with less than the competition.
Even I thought they wont repeat the 4S palava & try to blow us consumers away, they did not even try....SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

Indeed & M/Soft know this, unlike Apple you have a choice of handsets.Well I was right the iPod touch was the most interesting update, though no 128GB version.
Depends what you mean, more/better/higher doesn't always mean it is better, my old Nokia 6230 has bluetooth file transfer but does that mean it's a better phone?
As I've said a big selling point of the iPhone is that it just works, I know android is pretty easy to use as well but it's little things like having to install Flash to use iPlayer, instead of just installing the iPlayer app and it works, the fact that manufacturers customize android so if you change from an S3 to a One X it's another learning curve, a lot of 'normal' people just plain don't want that hassle.
Apple really have lost it in the last two years, innovation has gone. Apple & Orange both in it together lolSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... If you don't like Iphones and are just hear to slag them off don't read or come into the thread.
If they are for you then read the thread. Some people just have a downer on everything. I expect they are the same people that still believe HD DVD's are the way forward and not Blu Ray lol.
Just stop being jealous and get your cash out and buy one!!0 -
I agree. This is the only disappointment for me. However, everything else is as good as I could expect.NFC for a first ! Forget your card ? use your phone...
I also wonder what the widespread fault will be. With the 4, it was the antenna. With the 4S, it was the battery (for existing iPhone users who restored their backup to the 4S). What major widespread fault will the 5 have? Any guesses?0 -

They're just playing catch up now, a bigger screen is required, a faster processor to catch up with the quad core phones that have been out for a while and a better camera.
Woop de blummin doo!0 -
It's a major stupidity - all big manufacturers are doing it now for the xmas rush, for me no NFC is a MAJOR disappointment.I agree. This is the only disappointment for me. However, everything else is as good as I could expect.
I forget my card due to health issues that effect my train of thought, but always have my mobile as emergency use.
I could go to Barclays and get a sticker for it, but that would ruin it & with other missing specs its a no go...mind you who wants to go to a rate fixing bank as Apple got lazy.
NFH are you buying one ?SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

It's lack of competative specs perhaps
:rotfl::j:beer::T
I do hate to laugh alone at my own jokes, but REALLY Apple....
Sad to see any market leader lose their way.
Well we can all take solice Apple iphones gave us one thing we as consumers didnt have - decent glass responsive screens, Apple set the bar I will give Apple that much.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I was correct there are different models for the world https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
All GSM versions should (not confirmed) work on 3G across the globe but it will only ever work on EE's LTE (and probably 3 mobiles come next year), as it only supports 1800MHz (800/900/1800/2600 are the ones going to be used for LTE in the UK), so those hoping to buy one then use LTE on another network won't be able to. It's also a no go for people who were hoping to use LTE on holiday in the US.
Also means you can't buy one in the US and use it on LTE at all in the UK.
Not that this will really concern anyone, next years iPhone will have come out before any network other than EE have LTE.0
