I just went into my Lloyds Bank in Reading and the guy was great and added the new advantage to all 5 accounts. However he did point out I should have only 3. My reply was tell your computer that as it was agreed online.
Do you have 2 active direct debits going out of every vantage account?
  • I wonder if this error is coming about because the accounts people are trying to add the new vantage on does not have the required 2 active direct debits?

Perhaps posters can advise on here?

I reckon MoneySaverLog would be best advised taking this up with Lloyds since it doesn't appear to be a problem everyone experiences. For me, there have been no problems since my accounts were upgraded and I added the DDs over a few days.
  • All vantage accounts now have the required 2 active DD's set up on them.
  • Has anyone come across the following error on clicking "Account Upgrade" after they upgraded their vantage account to the new Vantage account giving 4%

    There's a problem...

9200114 : Unfortunately there has been a technical problem. This transaction has not been completed.

Getting the above on all 3 vantage accounts now. There was no problem before the upgrade and adviser asked if I wanted a AVA at the time I upgraded Vantage so it's not a CPD
I also have the same error message (9200114 : Unfortunately there etc.). Lloyds internet banking are most unhelpful saying it is the "time out" settings on my computer. Gave me lots of things to check with my browser settings. None worked. Then told me it was because I had renamed my account! Rubbish! It is always the customer's fault. Lloyds seem to be in denial that this their software glitch causing a problem for some customers after upgrading to Vantage 4%.

On the plus side, if you do get this message it means your accounts have definitely been upgraded to the 4%, as accounts at the old 3% don't give this error.

Since mine was upgraded to the new Vantage still getting the same error message. Spoke to Lloyds and they advised I am able to go up to the Premier account so not sure what problem is.
  • Hi,

Please can anyone tell me what it should say on screen once your account has been upgraded to get the higher interest rates?

I upgraded my Vantage accounts in branch and have the required direct debits on the accounts.

Just logged in online to check that they had done this properly but I cannot see anywhere where it confirms that I am getting the higher rate. Does the account name change or where does/should it say what rate you are getting?

    Many thx in advance.
  • AFAIK as I know there is no visible indication. The fact that the "upgrade account" button causes an error seems to be the only indication that you're getting 4%

That is correct. The error message only occurs on accounts which have already been upgraded to the 4% Vantage rate.

In fact it is a good test that you have been upgraded to 4% and in that respect the error message is a positive sign. Not sure how you actually upgrade if you want to (not a fan of packaged product accounts).
