  • Evening all

Hilstep - ouch! hope you take it easy now and recover
RR - hope DD is better today
Esmf - glad school looked ok

Day 2 of my new group of work kids and 2 didn't turn up , they are friends as well so I think they just couldn't be bothered to get up. They have both text me in the afternoon to say they were 'ill'. Well I'm not taking any crap from them, neither will get paid for today and they will both get a warning. But the rest of the group did really well today. We went to our cabin this morning to do some team building games, and this afternoon we went to see another groups final presentation.

I need to finish off some college work tonight, before flaking out on sofa.

OS wise - dishes washed, packed lunch made, hoovered throughout, clothes mountain put away. But I have had an un-OS chippy tea :)

    Have a good evening all

  • managed eventually to get the print stuff off my hands i tried sugar and washing up liquid made it slightly paler ,then Stardrops ,zilch even tried paint remover also acetone !!! evetually got it off with a pan scourer and some orange Astonish pastes .Then I soaked my poor hands in warm olive oil for ten minutes, felt a bit like a salda dressing :):)Still my hands are now there normal shade instead of black and grey also they are rather soft as well :)
took myself off to get some shopping and thought I'd try Asda's and Morrisons .Asda's wasn't too bad but not many bargains Morrisons I got quite a few bits and bobs very reduced so I'm all spent up now for the next week.Whilst in there, there was a couple and a little boy The boy was about 3 and didn't want to get in the trolley and was having a bit of a paddy about it.I was horrified to hear the Mum say to the Dad don't punch him in public, wait until we get home !!!!! The Dad must have been the best part of 20 stone plus and Mum was about the same .I keot an eye on them all the way around the store as I was worried that this big lump of a chap would batter this little boy, but the Mum seemed to have calmed her OH down.I kept thinking about this little boy all the way home How could anyone want to punch a child just beggers belief I have walloped my two at times when they misbehaved but a short sharp tap on the legs isn't punching a toddler.Good job my DD wasn't there she would have landed him one .I know kids can drive you up the wall at times but there are limits.
Right I'm off to have some dinner then a bit of ironing is on the agenda
    Take care all

  • Hi all,

Maud is home, she has an infection in her lungs, so she has been given an anti b jab, and we have anti inflamm to give her too. Thank godness we know what it is and its being treated.
You know your getting old when you
go to the pub sit outside
and admire the hanging basket
    Is officially 48% tight :D
  • JackieO  Like you, mine got a tap on the hand or the legs, but very very rarely, more often than not sending them to the naughty step did the trick. I am afraid I would have taken the scum bags photos and reported them, first to the shop (ctv) and then to the police. People like them make me sick

Bargainbird, at least now you know what it is now, that is half the battle, hoping that she will be on the mend soon x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
