ESM - my thyroid guy said this morning that 80% of people settle on 100mcg, but some people need as much as 400mcg. My TSH is apparently struggling valiantly but the FT3 and FT4 just aren't having any of it
I hear you on the dog - I'm surrounded by cheesyfartybum cats at the moment. Must be the mice and frogs they've been eating recently.

Hi all.
Posi-vibes to Maud, Judi's Auntie, Hilstep, Redruby's DD, Tiglath and anyone else who could use some today.:o
Hilstep what on earth were you doing climbing stepladders? It sounds horrendous; is your “lifeline” one of those alarm thingys you wear round your neck? GWS mate – and no more stepladders!!;)
Nmlc I hope DS1 gets on better without the troublesome teacher;:o a good or bad teacher can make or break a subject for the pupil; I remember when I was at school, one maths teacher told me I wasn't worth teaching, simply because I couldn't get my head around quadratic equations.:(
Halight I wish you lived near me – I could do with someone to do the front garden for me!:D I hope your wife gets on well at her interview.:o
Judi don't be ashamed of putting your heating on;:o if you need it, you need it, it's not a crime, despite what the Gov't likes to make you think. I don't “do” cold either (mind you, I don't “do” extreme heat, either);:D our heating is set so that if the temperature drops too low, it automatically comes on.:o
I had a lovely surprise this morning – a chap on my doorstep with a HUGE bouquet of flowers!:D They're from Mr LW, for our 9th wedding anniversary, which is tomorrow. Not at all MSE, but hey, he loves doing things like that.:o
He's got tomorrow and Friday, and the whole of next week off, so if I don't post much, it's because we're otherwise occupied;) (no comments about Hester-type occupied, please!!):DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lamewolf yep my .is an alarm. I wear mine on my wrist like a watch, trouble was I wasn't sure where the blood was coming from, so I had to scream as well! Thank goodness someone heard me.
I have a fantastic network of family, friends and neighbours who have all rallied round me, so I'll be okay!
Thanks for all your support too!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

What a lot of people in the wars today.
Red Ruby: Your poor DD. It must be beyond awful to suffer migraines that bad. My DS1 had dreadful migraines from a baby, if you can believe that. It wasn't until he got a bit older that we realised what it was. At that early stage we only knew that he was very distressed, vomited, slept and woke up better. I lost count of the times I was called to the school to rescue him. He gradually grew out of them and now, in his forties, rarely gets one.
I've never had one in my life.:)
nlj: I would imagine that if your son's nasty neighbour persists in complaining about anything and everything, the carers and other neighbours will grow wise to him and give him short shrift. I hope so.
Hilstep: Enjoy your enforced rest. No fun to have a broken arm but a time of doing nothing won't do you any harm. I am sure if more people had the opportunity to spend a guilt-free day resting or sleeping every so often they would feel all the better for it.
Had a rare rush of energy this morning and got loads done.:j How I wish I felt like that more often instead of grudgingly dragging myself around.
De-frosted 2 chicken breasts last night and have stuffed them with tomato, onion, pepper and mushrooms ready to cook tonight with sauteed potatoes and sweetcorn.
A friend of ours, who also runs a drop-in in another part of the island, asked us yesterday if we could use some baguettes he had been given. I'm just a gal who can't say no, so I told him to wheel them along as I could always use a few on Sunday nights.
At half past nine last night I was presented with 5 boxes of baguettes, 250 in all and 2 boxes of sliced wholemeal loaves. They had been frozen but were OK to be re-frozen. Where the hell I am expected to find freezer space for 250 baguettes and about 48 large loaves I can't imagine. Any one any ideas?I believe that friends are quiet angels

Afternoon all
Monnagran Bread & butter pudding
LW Moi? I don't know what you mean & am now seriously offended, humph, we only tipped the sofa over, we didn't break it!
Work is very unpleasent at the moment, we have another batch of older teachers being squeezed out as they are too expensive, we are taking on so many NQT's it's unreal. I've been asked to do my 'holiday days' covering evening events, I'm happy to do this, but the person who used to do the evening events is furious.
We have 3 or 4 staff on long term sick with stress, to office staff on 'capability watch'.
My 2 hour a day assistant is no longer available & has been moved to other duties & she's been replaced with a muppet who cannot help as she cannot use my machines & is too scared to learn!
I'm glad to be home.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

I was joking LW, I'm not at all offended, I'm so sorry I didn't make it clear, If I was bothered at people taking the micky about my sex life I wouldn't post it on here, I'm so sorry you thought I was upset, I'm truly not.
