Oh their 100% doing it alright, this 'consultation' is pretty rigged. It's just so the customers feel that they've been listened too and had a say.0
-
Ah, no-one comes close....
The first UK network, the first multi-international mobile telco, the first to outsource customer care, the first to screw customers mid contract, the first to make a £20 billion pound loss :rotfl:
Suresignal ? I'd rather have care for sure !
Clearly you're not a business level customer. I've never spoken to an outsourced call centre, i always speak to a UK based centre with a dedicated account team. YMMV.0 -

1. Decide what you want to do
2. Include some other token options that no one will want, to give the impression that you are listening to customers
3. Have a consultation heavily weighted in favour of your preferred outcome
4. Make the customers feel like they've had a say
5. Have your vote following the 'consultation'
6. Win the vote, having mislead your customers and already decided what was going to happen
5. Increase the price
6. Make lots more money
Job done.
I read a few pages of the associated thread and it seems most of the people have taken giffgaffs 'competitor analysis' as gospel, which is sad. The few people that did question why Three 200/5000/unlimited deal or Ovivo wasn't shown didn't seem to get an answer. Same with the people who questioned whether the consultation was actually a consultation. That said, I only got to page 23, got bored
How come giffgaff are having to pay O2 per MB for data when they're owned by O2? Doesn't make any sense if it's true.0 -
They're owned by Telefonica O2, the same people that operate O2 UK. Still a separate business.0
-
You'd think they'd be getting preferential rates though.0

I got burned by a mis-sold UK consumer contract & payg before that, in return Vodafone get no business from me from ANY local subsiduary.
Conmen.
PS) ALL customer care in UK is outsourced, Vodafone head office is minimal & pay tax elsewhereSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Update on consultation
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Contribute-Innovation-Promotion/Updated-Mobile-Internet-Community-Consultation/m-p/6033944#M150508£10 goodybag (this is a change to the existing £10 goodybag)
- 250 minutes
- Unlimited Texts
- 1GB Data Allowance (Tetherable) Any usage above this will be charged at 2p per 1MB [changes: unlimited to 1GB limit, allowing tethering]
£12 goodybag (introducing this new goodybag which still includes unlimited mobile internet)
- 250 minutes
- Unlimited Texts
- Unlimited Mobile Internet (Not Tetherable)
Also, I wanted to clarify a couple other points:
- We will allow real time tracking of your data usage within the My giffgaff section of the website, for those on the new £10 goodybag.
- We're working on real time SMS Internet Usage Allowance notifications and we'll have more information closer to the time once we've worked out the technical solutions.
- There is a chance that we will have to review these offerings at a much later date as we see just what impact it has on our data consumption iss0 -
The zgiffgaff is a community thing, I am sure members would have voted for this change. Most must have agree to less.
Any further changes at later date would also go through the community.
Otherwise what is the point of having the community if the company is going to make the changes anyway?0
