  • Day off as over hours, didn't feel that well last night, heart rate was very low (30) when at work and chest felt very tight plus breathless. As usual I've gone for the sensible approach as feel better this morning and went for a 7 mile run... I know, even I recognise that I'm not sensible. I did run slowly.

  • Oh dear. Get well soon.xxx
  • Feel fine thank you, SHS, just get episodes and frequently pass quickly. Haven't been "right" since it started over a year ago. Mondays just lasted a lot longer and I felt sorry for myself as affected my breathing and I was like an old lady climbing the stairs. Just damn frustrating. Its not stopping me, I won't allow it. On that note, gym tonight and ran 6.3mph for an hour, was tough but pleased as gym speed is a lot faster than my outdoor.

Ordered my Birthday present from Dave off amazon, a garmin 310XT. So excited. Being eyeing them up for months, really struggled as to which one, balancing up what I want from it, the costs and all the conflicting reviews.

Big news tonight, is Im a great Aunt. Dave reckons that's equivalent to grandma, No its not! Her dad (my brother) is 7 years older than me!

You put me to shame, I haven't run since NYE :o Sorry to hear your breathing is giving you trouble but good on you for not letting it hold you back. :)

I have a garmin and I use it to keep my pace right as I have a tendency to go off like a rocket and burn out. I don't glance at it often when running outside but if I am on a treadmill I cant keep my eyes off the time/distance display on the machine.:rotfl:

Very impressed with your daughter's musical talents and your teeny weeny LTV.

Hi Helen, just seen your posts. Sorry to hear heart playing up again.

Running wise, the 9 miler we agreed was a 9.25 mile run, did 6 midweek, managed 8 miles this week and hoping for 10 miles tomoro. I ran last Friday, it was so dangerous in the icy slush. I need a running jacket so will get to shops early then get out there for a run. I can only find time to run twice a week unfortunately.

  • SHS - its a forerunner, to record pace, time, has gps and a pulse reader as well. Its arrived but not my birthday till next week. So excited.

Thanks Xspender. I have managed to speak to an arrthymia nurse this week and very much get the impression that my symptom's are not dangerous, just frightening. I can ignore them completely then so that's good, when bad I will just have a rest and move on. She also recommended increasing my fluids to at least 3 litres for better symptom control. I am trying but crikey, toilet visits are getting ridiculous.
Yes very proud of DD1, also of the nearness of my MF life!
Hope you get the running bug back as headwise I find it essential now.

Well done CathT. I did 11 in the snow last week but crikey thighs hurt, think maybe was running differently. Anyway plan to repeat same run tomorrow. Managed 8 on Friday. Your well on track for your HM. Do you think you'll do anything else race wise this year?

Lovely day today. Gym with dd2, then we all went to watch Priscilla Queen of the desert at the theatre. Was absolutely brilliant, fantastic throughout and would definitely recommend. A nice cheap tram ticket (£5 all day for family of 5) was a bonus. Was one of my family Christmas gifts (I like to buy a few day out or family as a whole presents)
Have Mama Mia booked for later in year (which was another one).

  • 11.3 today, keeping add extra streets on, then make route longer with extras off, then add them back on, half the challenge is increasing routes and finding new ones, thank goodness for mapometer! (Free ap)
Next week may be try a 12..

Fellow runners .. do you eat mid run? If so, what and when? Tried sugary sweets at 6 and 9 today.
