I've heard you don't actually run a full marathon in training, someone else has told me you do 70 miles a week. That's way beyond my reach! I have just come nback from doing 6 miles, was the best hour I have had today!

It feels achievable today... it's when it's windy or you feel tired I struggle but agree, a great cob web clearer. Plus I get to eat my exercise calories.
A few day adjustments around work and kids and I think can work it in. If I run Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and a long Sunday. A gym on Saturdays and rest days Monday and Thursday when I can work later to get my hours in if necessary.
I'm lucky in the fact I have Dave as a run partner so we chat, catch up and have couple time whilst out. Which is like a date night for free... Plus I come back a nicer person for the kids. Result..

I would love to have Mrs E as a run partner, but she loathes running with a passion, more of a classes girl :)

Congratulations on signing up for your first marathon, I did 6km last night (5 jogged, 1 walked) and it feels a million miles away at the moment. Not moaning, just musing!

We should motivate each other although my run tomorrow is very short as it is my last one before I run in Holyrood Park on Saturday.

Definitely, runners support group xx. I did 7 last night and today is my gym day with dd2. So long tomorrow (which isn't currently very long as did drop to 6 over last few months and last week was 8.75, so not planning much more than that as tbh calves still not convinced they want to do marathon and needing some encouragement.

I would also quite like to drop 1/2 stone over next few months. I have maintained now for over a year and I know you can't spot reduce but I still think I have some fat round my belly that I think could be shifted with a bit of persuasion. Hoping extra training will sort it out as not planning on reducing dietary intake!. Saying that I now possess 2 size 6 T shirts, both from new look and TBH I don't think they really are that small but still will wear with tag stick out or a big sticker shouting "SIZE 6!!!" on it.
