Think I might need to lower the price..
How much did you advertise it for?0 -
Don't let anyone test drive it whilst SORN.
as soon as the car is sold the SORN notice is automatically cancelled, i.e. the buyer will either bring his own insurance and he will go to Post Office for a tax disc...or...
if he drives it home with insurance but no disc, he risks getting a fine for having no road tax, he cannot be fined for driving while SORN because the SORN notice is cancelled by the sale.0 -

OP, if you ebay it, with the years MOT and other work done advertised, hopefully able to say no advisories, it'll find it's own level and you wont be back here in a fortnight asking why it's not selling on Autotrader.
And your point is...? I can't think of anyone or any dealer that initially advertises a car for what 'they are wanting for them'. My suggestion to the OP was to take a look around to see what similar cars to his are being advertised for so it will give him an idea how to advertise his. Obviously if he wants a quick sale then he will advertise it cheaper. If not, then he will hold out for the price he wants.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

I advertised it for £895 and got no interest in it after a week. I then dropped the price to £775 and within the last 2 days I have had 5 interested parties. One of them is due to come and see the car this evening and says he can pay £675 cash for it. That's £100 off my asking price so quite a big discount but it would be nice to just get the sale over and done with!0

Fingers crossed for you.0

If you have other interested parties I would get this guy to meet you half way and say £725. After all, you have already dropped your asking price after only a week. But I guess it depends on how desperate you are to get rid.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

How do you work that out?0 -
So far 2 of the 5 interested parties have dropped out. The guy who was due to come and see it last night said he couldn't make it anymore, but is trying to arrange to come see it some other time. Talks are ongoing with the other 2!0
